20: Finally a stand user

You sat straight up, gasping for air, when cold winds blew from behind you. "Shit, it's freezing out here-" Quickly, Jotaro threw his jacket over you, and brought you into his arms before Avdol could. No words were said, but you knew what he was saying.

Looking at Avdol, he smiled at you, he was glad you were okay. "My neck burns Jotaro-" You pushed him away to feel your neck, "Was I bit?"

He moved your hair and touched the cloud, "No, you've gained a stand." Your heart dropped, then raised then dropped again. You didn't want to be a stand user, but you also did. Mixed feelings. "I don't see my stand?" You looked around for a unfamiliar stand, but no where to be seen.

"Summon her." Jotaro said, summoning his as an example. You thought back to the millions of times that Jotaro and Kakyoin had conversations about their stands. 'Feel her in my soul, ask her to come out.'

You closed your eyes for a solid 5 minutes but nothing happened. "Maybes she's shy?" Polnareff said, making you laugh. "Maybe she is, but i'm too tired to try again." You leaned back into Jotaro and looked around, Joseph was gathering the things they brought up from the submarine and Kakyoin was dusting his good boy clothes off. Polnareff helping Avdol find something for you to eat, and Jotaro staying silent.

"Thank you for saving me again Jotaro, I really do owe you one." You wink and get up, giving him his jacket back. He ended up forcing you to wear it, which was fine with you. "Don't leave my sight again." He grabbed your hand and held it tightly.

Smiling at the ground you agreed with him, "Can I look at the sea?" He nodded and took you to look, the others soon joining.

"Crazy how we are all still alive- heh." You kicked around the water waving at your feet, "How close are we to Egypt?" You turned to Avdol and asked. "We're already here i'm sure."

Hours passed as you all walked in the sand, scorching hot sand and blistering heat waves. "This is probably a bad time, but I don't have shoes." Everyone stopped and looked at your tore up feet, "Oh God Y/n, you should have told us before- Hop on my back." Avdol crouched down and you climbed on, immediate relief spread through your feet. "Thanks Avdol."

Not long after, a small helicopter landed in front of you, 'Speedwagon Foundation?'

"They finally made it." Avdol said walking up to the helicopter, shaking hands with the man whom hopped out. "Yes, this is my daughter Y/n. She needs shoes, I assume you have a pair?" The man climbed back into the helicopter and came out with some, "How did they know my size?"

"Magic." Avdol said, setting you down. Then a small black and white dog jumped out, "Aw a puppy!" You reached down to pet it but it nipped at you and strutted away.

"That's Iggy, the user of The Fool." You looked at your dad in awe, "Dogs can be users?! Woahhh!"
You squatted down and called the dog to you, but he wouldn't come. "He's a little sassy."

Jotaro came over to you and stood behind you, like a guard. You didn't mind, he's still a little shook up so you let him do as he pleases. "How can I make him come to me?" The Speedwagon Foundation man handed you a pack of coffee gum. "Open it."

You opened the pack and Iggy jumped on you, taking the gum and licking your face in excitement. "Iggy likes gum? That's strange."

Joseph came back from talking to the second pilot of the helicopter, "Gather round, I have information."

Quickly, you all circled Joesph, "Bad news,nine stand users are planted out around DIO's mansion, be on the look out. Even badder news, my sweet Holy has two weeks left." His voice got softer as he mentioned his daughter. Sympathy ran its course through your body.

"We'll save her, promise." You held up your hands for a double high five from Joesph, he reluctantly took your gesture. "Cheer up old man-" You smiled and plastered a look of fearlessness on your face.

You all head off again when the helicopter left, walking for only 30 minutes when Kakyoin spotted the same helicopter crashed. Rushing to help, you discovered that both pilots are dead, but no physical injuries on the first man. "H-his- his head- It's gone-" You stood shocked as the rest gathered around that body.

Polnareff picked up a scattered canteen, hoping for water, "HOLY SHIT-" He threw it to Jotaro, in which you leaned over and looked too. "The man's head is in here." You stepped back in disbelief, and in disgust, you felt like you were going to hurl.

"Crew! Come here! The reason this man looked unharmed is because he was drowned!" Avdol said, standing then looking around for something. "But there's no water anywhere."

"How could that be possible?! We're in the middle of the desert!" You grabbed onto Jotaro, you felt an eerie presence near you. He apparently felt it too, "There's a stand user in hiding." In disbelief, you covered your mouth with your hand. "Then they must have a very long distance stand, because there's no where to hide out here..."

You felt your anxiety increase rapidly as the group forced you to move on from the death scene. Jotaro tried to ease your pain by telling you that he's gonna protect you no matter what. But nothing was working, this didn't feel like regular anxiety, you FELT something in you breathing hard..
