23: Escape Artist

The Speedwagon Foundation took over Kakyoin and his eyes, so they'd heal faster. As they took him away, the group travelled to Luxor, a place known for its tombs dating back to ancient Egypt. Jotaro hasn't spoke in 2 days, he refused unless it was about you.

Joseph wandered about the entrance of the city, where he found a rock with an electrical socket in it. Curiously stupid, he touched it and was shocked. He ran back to the group and thought nothing of it.

Eventually they found a hotel, where strange things were happening to Joseph, metal objects being thrown at him from unknown sources. He looked around in the lobby for anyone besides the host and his group. No one. He shrugged it off. "Jotaro!" Polnareff ran to him and practically tackled him to the floor, "Someone said they saw Y/n!" Jotaro sat up and his eyes slightly widened. "Where." He stood up and Polnareff led him to the man who saw her. Joseph stayed behind with Avdol at the hotel, anxious and worried.

Polnareff pushed Jotaro to the man, "Tell me where she is." Jotaro grabbed the man by his collar. "H-hey man let me go first!" Jotaro looked at him with deathly eyes, the man gave in. "I saw a h/c girl near the river- she was being carried by a man. But I didn't watch them go."

Jotaro threw him down and rushed to the river, Polnareff thanked the man. Jotaro was in a full sprint now, pushing past people in the streets then finally reaching the river. "Star Platinum!" He yelled, summoning him, they searched separately, the stand peaked in people's houses as Jotaro ran around. Polnareff asked more people if he saw you.

You made a stack of things you found down there to reach the door above, as soon as you touched it, the man slowly opened it. He had a crazed look on his face, a twisted smile and wide eyes with little pupils. "Where do you think you're going?" He pushed you back down, tumbling down the items stacked. You fell on your back when you landed, yelling in pain.

He jumped down with you and had something hidden behind his back, something to hurt you. "Why escape? Master is waiting for you in E-" You kicked his shins in and scrambled to get back up before he got up too.

You managed to get up and close the door behind him, but his house was a labyrinth, and you were on the second lowest floor. Running to find a door, you saw a glimpse of Star Platinum going through a wall, you chased the ghost like glimpse until you ran sick. "Jotaro! Please turn around!"

The stand turned around and immediately left the house, you fell to your knees and wept, this wasn't happening. You left the basement but can't find a way out the house. After weeping for a few minutes you sat down with your head in your knees, hopeless.

Hearing crashing from inside the house you jumped up and back into consciousness. Running away from the loud noises, only to be grabbed and pulled into someone. You looked to see, "Jotaro?" A wave of shock ran down your spine as he hugged you, a gentle but tight hug. He wasn't letting go anytime soon. "About time you saved me.." You smiled and looked up at him, his expression holding back so many emotions. He didn't speak, he was relieving himself from your absence.

"Are you okay?" He asked finally, "I'm okay- Are you okay?" He pulled his cap down and muttered, you only caught pieces of it, "Don't leave... got it?" You pulled his cap up and kissed his cheek. "Thank you, but can we leave now? I'm exhausted and hungry.." He nods and lets Star Platinum go. He holds your hand the whole way back to the hotel, where he found Polnareff but no Avdol or Joseph. Polnareff was quick to hug you, but Jotaro was also quicker to stop it from going on too long.

Jotaro let you up to his room and ordered room service food for you. "Your bag is beside mine, if you want to shower."

"Yeah, thank you, i'll do that before the food gets here." You quickly jumped in the hot shower and bathed the 'i escaped my 'napping' scent from your skin and hair. Jotaro knocked on the door, asking if he can sit in there with you. Safety precautions. "Of course, no peeping." He sat in the floor and waited for you to get out of the shower, then be exited the bathroom and waiting again for you to get dressed.

He sat on the bed with the food at the edge of the bed, "Come eat while it's hot-" He said while removing his shoes and hat and laying down. "Thank you, you can eat some too, I can't eat all this." He shook his head, so you didn't push it. As you ate, you watched the news on T.V. "Nothing interesting in wherever we are huh.." You got up to throw away your plates and brush your teeth, "I'll leave the door open so you can see me-"

After, you crawled in bed with Jotaro, and he pulled you close to him, he missed you but is too embarrassed to say anything. So you took the sweet actions. He wrapped his arms around you and refused to sleep unless you did first. "Y/n, sleep. We have to continue tomorrow."

You knew you didn't get a day off, "Okay, fine with me. Goodnight Jotaro-" You kissed his head again and laid down on his bicep as a pillow. "Goodnight Y/n.."
