Saturday, 14:46 PM. IRL.

"Shut the fuck up I just got a text from my mom." Vance said, stopping in his tracks. He cut complete contact with his mother in mid 2022 and he hadn't heard from her since then. Until now.

"What?" Robin said. Bruce came up behind Vance and put a hand on his shoulder. Normally, Vance would beat up anyone who did that in a second. However, he let Bruce do it and Robin smiled weakly at that.

"She's dating another guy, for fucks sake. Apparently it's a guy I might know," Vance rolled his eyes and shut off his phone. "I don't know any old men. Is she a pedophile now?" The three laughed at that.

They continued their journey to the skatepark. Bruce didn't skate, but Vance and Robin did. Vance tried to convince Bruce to let him teach him. "Come on man! I'm not a bad teacher."

Robin blocked all of that out and proceeded to practice a trick he's been working on - the Gazelle Flip. He's been trying to do it for weeks on end. Cuts formed all over his arms, face, hands and legs from it. Some were healed and some were scabbed.

Speaking of him falling, he just fell. His skateboard flipped face down, and so did he. "Fuck.." he whined. He checked his knee for any stones or anything, but there was nothing. Nonetheless, his head was throbbing. Robin lifted his hand and touched where his head was growing a heart beat, and surprise surprise it was bleeding.

This had happened before, countless times. Robin just picked himself up and went to pick up his beloved skate board. That was until he noticed a faint carving in the wood of the board. It read : R + F with a heart beside it. (R + E??)

Robin remembered when he carved it in his board with his pocket knife.

"Robin! Slow down, you mother fucker!" Finney laughed. He was chasing Robin while Robin was riding his skate board.

"Come catch me, hermoso!" Robin sped up. Finney ran as fast as he could, faster than he did on his big game day against Bruce's team. He eventually got to him and Robin admitted his defeat. He stopped his board and stepped on the edge of it to pick it up. "You're getting quicker, mi amor."

They started this game so Finney could get quicker at running to catch the baseball in his games. It was because he recently lost a game since he wasn't fast enough. "Thanks, you too."

They sat down on the curb together. Robin had his board on his lap, face down. "Hey, look at this." Robin pulled out a sharp pocket knife from his pocket and started carving into his skate board.

When he was done, he looked at it and smiled. Finney went red, reading R + F on Robin's board. Finney stole the knife from him and carved a heart next to it. "Masterpiece." he commented.

Robin smiled brightly and slung his arm around Finney, swaying side to side with him.

February 2023

"He's dead. Definitely. Woohoo! The world is finally at peace!" Vance yelled, throwing his arms in the air, catching the attention of people sitting at the tree in the skatepark. "Mind ya business!" he yelled at them and focused back on Robin.

"He's not dead, V. Don't say that. He probably just got the wind knocked out of him in that fall while he was practicing his gazelle." Bruce replied, hitting Vance in the shoulder.

"Yeah whatever." Vance said. Robin groaned, starting to sit up. Everything hurt. His head, his arms, his legs, his knees, everything.

"Hey hey, you okay?" Bruce spoke. He sat down beside Robin.

"What does it look like, fucker." Robin scolded. He pushed Bruce away from him and sat up against the brick wall.

"What's up your ass?" Vance remarked. He snicked, resulting in Bruce punching him in the shoulder again.

Robin flipped him off. He picked up his board, flipped it over and pulled out his pocket knife. He re-carved the carving. Robin started to speak as he was doing so, "When I was unconscious, I had this, like, flashback," he began. "It was the day after Finn lost his baseball game. I was helping him get quicker at running, and we carved this into my board." Robin showed them the finished carving.

His eyes started to well up, tears threatening to spill out of his eyes. Vance and Bruce admired the carving, smiling to themselves. "Dude," Vance laughed under his breath. "You gotta get him back." he continued. Bruce nodded in agreement.

Finney, Billy & Griffin

They were sat against a tree in the skate park. Finney was in the middle of Griffin and Billy.

"Dude! This guy on Instagram is literally taunting me." Billy said as he lifted up his phone and showed Finney and Griffin the person.

"He's kinda fine." Griffin commented.

"Griffin! The homophobia boss, calling a boy fine? What is going on!" Finney flailed his hands in the air, over exaggerating what he was saying. The trio laughed.

"Hey, well, opinions can change." Griffin shrugged. Billy smirked and looked at Finney, who was also smirking.

"WHO'S THE LUCKY BOY!" they yelled in sync. Griffin pushed himself back as if he was on the floor being chased by a monster in the horror movies. They all laughed.

"No one," Griffin giggled. Billy and Finney looked at him in disbelief. "Okay, fine, it's someone. But no one you know!" Finney and Billy jumped while sitting down.

They taunted Griffin over his boy crush until they heard yelling from the other side of the skate park. "He's dead. Definitely. Woohoo! The world is finally at peace!" the person yelled, throwing their hands all over the place. They saw that they caught people's attention. "Mind ya business!" they yelled, flipping the trio off. The person's friend punched them in the arm.

Finney recognised them. There was another person sat on the floor who soon started to reach for their skateboard. Finney squinted his eyes at the people. "Hey.. isn't that Vance?" Billy also squinted his eyes.

"Yeah, and that's Bruce. So that's gotta be Robin!" Griffin sat up, pointing to the trio. "Finney, you gotta go to him!"

"I can't."

"We'll go with you." Billy said. Griffin nodded. Finney sighed and stood up. The boys behind him smiled at each other, squealing.
