Saturday, 09:47 AM. July 10th.

It had been summer break for about two weeks now, and the whole of those two weeks, Robin had been planning Finney's birthday. He wanted to make sure everything was pitch perfect and nothing was out of place.

Which of course, turned into a complete catastrophe.

Over the course of May and June, the boys (+ Gwen and Donna) had gotten closer to Robin's hockey team. He didn't invite the whole team, but he did invite quite a few of them. He also invited Finney's aunt and uncle who he had been staying with, and some of his cousins who had met Finney.

Turns out he invited way too many people to fit in Robin's house and Maria was freaking out.

The party was today and no one seemed to check the guest list that had been sitting around for at least two weeks. Robin swore on his mother's good name that he made Bruce check it who made Billy check it who made... Griffin check it.

"GRIFFIN STAGG!" he yelled which echoed through the house. Griffin ran out of the kitchen into Robin's bedroom. "Why the fuck didn't you check the guest list?"

The guest list fiasco was soon dealt with; he uninvited a few of his cousins. However, a new problem soon came into place. According to Robin, the cake wasn't right. It was exactly what he asked for, he was just being paranoid.

Vance had to repeatedly tell him that everything was fine and it would go smoothly until he started panicking about the ring. He didn't lose it, but now he was having second thoughts.

"It's so cute though! He's gonna love it, promise." Donna squealed. Robin looked at her like she was an idiot and she just inhaled sharply.

After everything went completely bonkers, Robin took his meds and everything calmed down a little. That was until the clock striked 12PM and Finney was supposed to be arriving. He went into full panic attack mode; especially when the doorbell rang. He was sat on the couch with his knees to his chest, rocking back and forth.

"Dude, man up, it's your boyfriend. Everything will be fine." Vance said, before he went into his hiding spot behind the couch and Bruce passed him a party popper. When everyone got into their hiding spots, Robin took a deep breath and made his way to the door.

He was completely ready to shoot himself when he realised Finney's aunt and uncle would be waiting there with him, as well as Gwen. It's not that he wasn't excited to surprise Finney, of course he was. He was just cautious of whether he would like it or not. He hid the party horn in the pocket of his jeans, praying to god he could get it out when the time is right.

The doorbell rang again and he heard his favourite cousin, Adella, whispering to grow a pair. He sighed and opened the door, plastering on a smile as if he wasn't about to go completely feral.

When he opened the door, Finney jumped up and hugged him. Robin smiled and hugged him back immediately. "Happy birthday lindo." he whispered into his ear.

Finney was the one to break the hug, and he smiled at Robin when he did. Gwen cleared her throat to break the ice. "Oh! Robin, this is my aunt Cameron and my uncle Zach."

Robin smiled at them and shook both of their hands. "We've heard so much about you!" Cameron cheered.

"I'm sure you have. Uh, come in. There are refreshments on the table." he said. Gwen winked at him and he winked back while he closed the door. The agreement was when Robin closed the door, everyone was supposed to jump up and say "surprise!" which is exactly what happened.

"SURPRISE!" Robin's cousins jumped up from behind the kitchen counter, Molly, Sofia, Donna and Maria ran out of the hallway and set off party poppers, and Billy, Griffin, Bruce and Vance jumped up from behind the couch also set off party poppers. Robin yanked the party horn out of his pocket and blew into it.

Finney flinched at the party poppers but soon cracked a bright smile. "How original." he commented.

"Thank you." Robin said as he sneaked up behind him.
