Chapter 23

I woke up to Hange bursting into my room.

"Sorry I didn't come earlier but I had things I needed to- Oh Levi's here too." She said loudly.

Levi sat up tiredly and glared at her.

"Are you dating now?" She asked.

Me and Levi looked at each other before looking at Hange.

"No.." I said.

"Why are you both naked then."

I looked at the window to see it was still nighttime.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"3am!" Hange announced.

"Damn.. what were you busy with?"

"Expedition report."

I looked at my desk to see the empty report I was supposed to fill out.

"Shit.. Hange get out so I can get dressed." I said.

She left the room so I got up and put some boxers on. I knew I'd go back to sleep after so I just threw one of my hoodies on.

"You don't have any clean clothes in here." I said turning to Levi.

He just shrugged and laid back down.

"You can come back in!" I called to Hange as I sat at my desk to do the report.

Hange walked back in and sat on the desk.

"I don't know what happened on the expedition.. I was out for most of it.."

"Why?"

"I was tired, then ended up getting eaten by a titan because of it. Then Levi carved me out and I fell asleep."

"Ash almost died because of me." Levi said from the bed.

"You saved me, how's it your fault?"

"I'm the reason you were tired." He said before turning to Hange, "you know, his heart stopped? I barely managed to bring him back, he almost died."

"Levi go to sleep." I muttered.

"What was it like inside the titans stomach?!" Hange yelled.

"Warm and humid, and the stomach acid burns and drags you under."

I just wrote on my report 'First day we encountered many titans and killed them all, then rested in castle ruins. Got knocked out at the beginning of the 2nd day, was out for the rest of it'.

I then showed it to Hange, "Think he'll buy this?"

"Your reports are always half-assed anyway so I think he will." She replied.

"Okay I'll go drop it off." I said getting up, "After that I'll talk to you about the titan thing, I know that's what you came for."

I walked out of my room then down the hall to Erwin's. I always dropped my reports off to him instead of the commander because I didn't like him."
