Chapter 60

~~~timeskip of 3 weeks~~~

I rode my horse besides Levi, we were out on an expedition. For a few hours not much happened because we were stationed at the back of the center ranks, the safest place in the formation.

The most we did was relay smoke signals.

"Smoke signals, green." Levi muttered, "Oluo pass it on."

"With pleasure sir." He replied shooting off a green smoke signal.

"Reporting sir!" Someone shouted as they approached us, " It appears the right wing spotters have been entirely wiped out! The early warning network is compromised, someone will have to relay the message further down the line!"

"You heard the man Petra." Levi said turning to her.

"Sir!" She shouted before turning and riding to the closest squad to our left.

I turned my head to see black smoke signals being set off. I knew Commander Erwin was planning to capture a titan shifter, if one were to come after us.

"Shit it's getting close.. Ash go buy us some time." Levi said.

"Sir." I said before riding towards where the black smoke shells were being set off.

The plan was to lure the shifter into the forest and capture it, the same way they did to me. The shifter however was gaining on us too fast, they were clearly after Eren.

Up ahead I saw a titan with clear female anatomy and markings similar to mine. I knew it was the shifter because of the way she moved. It's the female titan.

I hopped off my horse and produced a small cut on my finger, then transformed. The female titan stopped and looked at me with a semi-shocked face.

I hardened my fists and rose them up.

"Moon titan." She said, due to having the correct mouth anatomy she can speak too.

All soldiers in the near vicinity were dead.

Clearly the female was confused as to why I was alive.

My only aim was to keep her busy until Levi squad got closer to the forest, not to kill her, so that's what I did.

I stepped forward and tried to punch her, but she moved out of the way. She went to run around me, desperate to go capture Eren, so I grabbed her by the hair and pulled her back.

Keeping my fists hardened, I got a hit on the side of her face. The opened her mouth, tearing the corners of her mouth until it was just one long opening across her face, then bit down on my arm.

The jerked her head away and ripped off my arm. I screamed in pain and pulled back away from her.

She once again tried to run towards where Levi squad was, so I pulled her back. I still had 1 arm, so I used my long nails to scratch both her eyes out.

After 30 seconds she healed only 1 of her eyes to speed it up, I stepped back but got tackled to the floor. I bit her shoulder and pulled a big chunk of it out, I continued until she lost use of that arm.

She got up and started running to where Levi squad was again, this time I let her, feeling like I had bought them enough time.

I got up and channeled my healing into my arm, regenerating it faster. It made me tired, but I chased after the female titan.

I followed her all the way to the forest, then into it. Reinforcements kept coming from behind me and hooking onto the female titan, then getting killed by her.

I slowed my run down as we neared the trap, the female titan would think it was due to exhaustion but it was actually so I wouldn't get caught up in the trap.
