"Flight 376 now boarding, flight 376 now boarding," I hear the flight attendant call over the ruckus at the airport. I look up at the screen and see our flights. We head to Zante Greece next, have a 10 layover then fly to Athens. I know Lily is overjoyed. She is super excited for this stop just as I was super excited for Scotland. I'm sad to leave but Zante seems awesome. One part in particular. We're gonna swim with sea turtles. I can't wait.
"That's us," I say, nudging Avory. He grabs his bag as well as mine and starts towards the line. A few feet away I see Eeli and Lily grabbing their bags too.
"Ready for Greece?" I ask when they come and stand by me.
Lily jumps on the balls of her feet, "super," she says. She grabs Eeli's arm, squeezing it so tight I think it might turn blue, and keeps jumping, floping it up and down. He waits until she stops bouncing before kissing her cheek.
The attendant at the desk grabs my ticket from me and scans it. She gestures to the hall behind her.
"Have a good flight," she says. She smiles at me.
I turn and look at the others. She is doing the sane for them. Finally we are all through and walking towards the plane.
"Excited?" I ask Lily. She is bouncing again. Eeli moans as if his arm is hurting but he is smiling. He is perfect for her. She sneaks a kiss onto his cheek.
"Here we are," Avory says, motioning to four seats 14 and 15 A and B.
"Want the window seat?" I ask him. Most of the time he does. He likes looking out the thick, transparent material over the sea and land.
"No. You can have it," he responds and shrugs. I give him a quick smooch and scoot over into the seat. Avory scoots in after me. I rest my head on his shoulder. Greece here we come, I think before drifting off to sleep.
