Slam. Avory slams into the hotel door, distracted. Distracted by me.
"Opps," he says, clutching his face, "I guess that's what you get when you stare at a pretty face while walking.
"I wonder why that's never happened to me," I say, jokingly. In reality I've had that sort if thing happen to me all the time. I get lost, distracted, gazing at Avory. It was even more embarrassing when I used to do it back in the early days of high school when I wasn't dating him. And Lily would tease me about it. All the time.
"Hey guys," Lily says, walking casually out the door.
I grab her arm, pulling her inside the room. Eeli is there too. "Hellooo Eeli," I say suspiciously.
"Wo, wo, wo," he says defensively, "we did nothing."
"Welllll..." Lily says. Immediately my mind goes crazy thinking if the things they could have done, in our room, alone.
Eeli sees my face. "No, no, no Kordelia. She's only talking about how we kissed. A lot. Nothing more." He says, clearing it up a bit. "The real question is what did you guys do? How was Avory."
I blush.
"What about me?" Avory says, stumbling into the room. He now has a large bruise on his head.
"Wo, Kordelia what did you do to my buddy?" Eeli asks. Lily wanders over to him and sits him down in a chair. Then she goes to the fridge and gets some ice.
"She distracted me," Avory replies, staring intently at me again.
"He bumped into the door," I explain.
"While I was distracted by you," Avory adds. He smiles at me.
"Whatever," I say, "let's watch a movie." I point to the TV. Eeli grabs the tomorrow and switches it on.
"Ok," he says, "I'm good with that. what movie?"
"The fault in our stars," Kordelia and I say. We have loved that movie ever since we watched it on eighth grade with our friend Niomi.
"K," the boys say, "here we go," and Eeli clicks on the romote, pulling up the movie.
