I open my eyes and look around the hotel room. Kordelia is across the room from me, still asleep. We have decided to use the time we have to tour the world. Paris is just our first stop.
I pull back the covers and throw my legs over the side of the bed, slipping my feet into my slippers. Maybe the boys are awake. We have planned to spend the first day here as tourists. We will shop and sightsee and taste test the foods until it's time for the boys' plan to begin. I suspect that plan involves the Eiffel Tower but who knows? I quietly turn the knob to the door and slip out. The boys' room is two doors down. I knock.
"Yes?" Eeli says, opening the door. His hair is rustled up and he has sleep in his eyes but to me he looks as cute as ever. Seeing me he rubs his eyes and runs his hand through his hair. It only makes it worse.
"Avory? You got pants on?" He calls back.
"Almost," comes the reply and Eeli opens the door wider to let me in. As I come in I look around the room. The beds are messy and the floor is littered with the clothes from yesterday (although I can't blame them for that. We had arrived at 11.) Their suitcases were pushed into one corner. One was open and it's contents are unfolded. Avory's, I think, he would have had to go through it to get his pants which happened to be the bright orange ones that Kordelia calls the traffic cones. The other was left untouched. I swivel around to Eeli and blush. He is still only in his underpants. He doesn't seem to care. I glance at the suitcase and he shrugs, wandering over to it slowly as if he wants me to see him half naked as long as possible. Avory laughs as Eeli unzips the suitcase and catches his boxers in the zipper, nearly pulling them right off too. He catches them right in time. I blush even more. He turns round and gives me a silly grin then flips up the lid of the suitcase and grabs the top pair of jeans and a top with an ocean scene and the words seaweed brain on it. I made it for him for his birthday a couple of years ago. After he enjoyed it so much I had taken to calling him seaweed brain as well, just like Anabeth in my favorite book series, Percy Jackson. He grabs a clean pair of boxers and a towel and slips into the bathroom. Kordelia opens the door carefully and peeps in only entering when she knows it is safe.
"If you're looking to avoid boxers and boys bits you're good. They disappeared behind that door," I say pointing to the bathroom. Kordelia's eyes go wide and she looks over with a questioning look in her eyes.
"You don't want to know," Avory says strolling over and giving Kordelia a sweet peck on the cheek. She blushes at the sight of his bare chest. He blushes back.
"No need to blush, Kordelia," I say, "we've been swimming with them before."
"I know," she responds, but I can tell she feels even more embarrassed now.
"I shouldn't be talking," I say, trying to lessen the embarrassment. "In no better at the blushing business." She smiles and my guilt lessens.
"What about the blushing business?" Eeli asks, returning from the bathroom, this time with pants on. He is still shirtless. I blush.
"See?" I shout, turning around to Kordelia. She shrugs.
"Well, if anyone needs us we'll be in our room," Kordelia states, "come on Lily." I wave back at Avory and see him begin to explain to Eeli, what on earth was going on before I am fully pulled from the room and out into the hallway.
