When I found Venti, he was getting drunk at the Angel's Share. I gave him a stern expression as I walked up to the bard.

"Venti..." I growled slowly. He flinched.

"I didn't take it!" I sighed, rubbing the bridge of my nose.

"I know you didn't take the Holy Lyre. It was the Fatui, right? But that's not why I'm here. I need you to tell me the full and honest truth about what happened to me. If you leave even a single detail out I'm going to make sure Diluc never serves you again!" I shouted at him. Footsteps approached from behind. I didn't have to look to know it was the owner of the bar, Diluc Ragnvindr.

"Is everything alright over here?" Diluc gruffly asks. I nod my head.

"Of course, you're more than welcome to stay and listen to this explanation. You'll find out the truth sooner or later, might as well be sooner." Venti chuckles.

"You had a vision, didn't you?" He asks and I give him a peeved nod.

"Yeah, and I didn't like what I saw, so you're going to tell me what you did to me at the tree in Windrise and if it's anything different from what happened in my vision, you're safe." Venti frowned in concern.

"Wait, Windrise? Oh, so you know about that then?" He asked me and I nodded my head yes.

"I promise I was going to tell you after this was all over, but it was safer to leave you in the dark until after Dvalin was cured. I see that decision was wrong of me now that I think about it." He states. I bang my hand on the table.

"God damn it, Barbatos! Just tell me already! Am I still corrupted by Durin's blood?! Because I will lose control. I've seen with my own eyes what could happen and it terrified me! With just the power of my Vision alone, I could set Mondstadt back into an eternal winter. I caused the end of the world because of it." Tears of fear welled up in my eyes. I felt a warm, gloved hand on my shoulder.

"Just calm down a minute, (Y/N). There's no need to get worked up over something that may or may not happen." Diluc stated, anchoring me back down. I closed my eyes and breathed in a deep breath and released it after a moment, feeling slightly calmer already.

"You're right, Diluc. I'm sorry Venti, I shouldn't have yelled at you. I was just scared that what I saw could happen. I can't let any of that happen. I can't take it if that is the truth. If I'm truly destined to destroy the world." Venti chuckled, shaking his head.

"Well then, you shouldn't worry. I made sure that the corruption was long gone out of your system before returning you to the Knights." My breath froze at the implications of that.

"Wait, that means-" He nodded.

"Yep! It was the only way. I wasn't about to let that poisoned blood take another one of my friends away from me." I closed my eyes, sighing in relief. But wait-

"But what about-" Venti shook his head, seeming to already know what I was about to ask him.

"We'll deal with that when we get there, for now, let's wait for the Traveler and Paimon to return." I sighed, shaking my head at him before agreeing.

"Alright. But, I'm not letting you get away with this." Venti chuckled and gave me that stupid smirk of his.

"Of course." Diluc glanced between the two of us.

"I take it everything is settled now, (Y/N)?" He asked me. I nodded, giving him a small smile.

"It is. Thank you for helping keep me grounded during all of that." Diluc looked away with a nod.
