"Paimon was so worried! She thought she'd never get to see you awake ever again!" Paimon cried into my chest. Lumine sighs, shaking her head at the crying fairy.
"Paimon, give her some room! She just woke up recently, after all." Paimon sniffles, backing off of me while rubbing her tears away.
"Don't you dare do something like that again! You hear Paimon!" She shouts. I wanted to laugh and tell her it was all going to be okay, but I couldn't find the heart to do it.
"I'm sorry, Paimon. I'll be sure to stay far away from the edge of the ship when a storm comes..." Beidou chuckles with her laughter pittering off into a sigh of relief.
"You had me worried there, for a moment. I was ready to get help from Ritou if you needed it. But Yinxing has given you the all clear." She then glances around the room.
"Hey Kazuha, we should go help the crew get ready to lower the anchors." She suggests. Kazuha tilts his head in confusion, before realizing something with a nod.
"Of course. Lead the way, Captain Beidou." Beidou gives us a grin and a wave as she leads Kazuha out of the room with a shut of the door.
"What happened while you were asleep, (Y/N)?" Lumine asks me. I knew that question was coming soon. I gulped softly, not sure how to explain everything that had happened to me.
"I guess it's probably easiest to explain from the beginning..." And so I began to explain how I met the Balladeer in the past...
And how I ultimately failed to keep my promise to him.
It was dark by the time I'd returned to the Mikage Furnace. Everything was in disarray.
"No... Am I too late?" I whispered under my breath. I searched for Katsuragi and Mikoshi Nagamasa for Niwa, only to be told that he'd gone to Escher to try and stop the Mikage Furnace from malfunctioning any further. Not to mention that Kabukimono had set sail for Narukami to ask the Raiden Shogun for help.
"Please... Miko... send help to these people." I whisper. The people were growing sick, it wasn't safe for those unable to wield the Elements to stay here. I raced into Escher's office, as this was the last place Niwa had been seen entering. Escher stood at his desk, looking like he was trying to focus on something when I had rushed in.
"Where's Niwa?" I asked, my voice gravely serious as Escher turned to face me.
"Mr. Niwa left to search for something I told him we needed from a factory on the other side of the island." Escher explained. He went to say more, but I was already out the door, completely missing Escher's victorious smirk on his face. With a little asking around, I was pointed in the direction of a new factory that'd just recently been created by the Fontaine mechanic's benefactors and with little thought nor hesitation, I rushed in.
