Some time has passed since we last saw Dainsleif and Aether disappear into that abyssal portal. Lumine says that she's okay, but... I know her. She's upset because, even though I had already warned her about her brother, he still wouldn't return with her. Whatever it was that he needed to do was more important than returning to his own sister's side. And... I could tell that she was hurt by that knowledge. Unfortunately... I have another problem on my hands at the moment. The weight of the object in my hands weighed heavy on the thoughts in my mind.

An... annoyingly... familiar golden chess piece rested in my hand. The Bishop, to be exact. I could feel the Electro energies pulsating off of the Electro Gnosis. Yet another Gnosis I've been entrusted with the task of keeping safe.

"I swear, do these Archons think that I'm just some sort of safe that they can place their Gnoses into for safekeeping?" I groaned out. My mind was still reeling from the past I'd just witnessed. Even though I'm slightly annoyed that the one I'd met in the past had thrown this responsibility onto me, I couldn't blame her. Not after what she'd said to me. Besides... I had every opportunity to refuse and but yet I still somehow found myself accepting. Whatever happens will be my fault and my fault alone. I place my hand on my chest, feeling the growingly familiar sensation of placing the Gnosis away, with a sigh. At least the Gnosis came with some information. Something that's extremely valuable as we near the final preparation steps before leaving for Inazuma.

The sound of rushing water lulled me out of my slumber as it slowly dawned on me that I was no longer in my bed in the room of the home in Liyue Harbor. My eyes blinked open slowly, the sunlight filtered through the trees sending scattered rays of sunshine down onto me. I sat up, taking in my surroundings. I was beside a small waterfall that fed into a river. The bright green leaves of the trees, that offered their shade to me, swayed in the breeze that came in from the nearby seashore. The birdsong echoed in the trees and I almost found myself wanting to fall back asleep. Wherever I was, this scenery was beautiful. But alas. If only all the problems in this world could be solved by just sleeping in.

"Hm?" I thought I was alone. However, nearby me slept a little, pink fox in the sun. Its long, drooping fox ears twitched in the wind as it curled up into itself in the sunlight. Its long, fluffy pink tail covering its nose. The little jewelry that was attached to the fox's ears dangled softly in the wind. I've never seen a fox like this one before. I moved to get up, and the fox twitched its ear. It knows I'm here, it seems. I moved into the light, sitting down beside the fox.

"Sorry if I'm bothering you. I won't try to mess with you or anything like that." I noticed out of the corner of my eye how the little pink fox tried to subtly open one of its electric purple eyes to stare up at me. I gave it a small smile. It huffs and then stretches like a cat in the sunlight, before standing up and promptly walking over to me and sitting in my lap. I stared at the fox, blinking in shock. The fox curled up in my lap, resting its head on my leg.
