the appearance of being true or real.
Not all dreams are strong enough to create ambitions. Yet, Teyvat's skies will always have a place for those who dream beyond the veil. So dream on, dear one and...
It's dark and cold... there's nothing around me but the darkness that threatens to take over. I float in this empty space, curled up, hugging my knees to my chest for a semblance of warmth. Yet, the cold only seeps further into my bones- stealing what feels like the last remnants of any warmth I have left. That familiar pain in my chest returns... Or should I say it never quite left. I can feel as the corruption slowly makes its way through my body. Slowly corrupting my thoughts, my actions, and soon enough- my entire being. There will be nothing left of me, soon enough. Tears well up in my eyes. Whether they be from the pain, or the sadness I feel, I'll likely never know.
I'll never get to see any of my friends again.
But most painfully...
What hurts more than anything...
Is that I failed to find my parents.
A sob seeps past my lips.
I'll never see my mother and my father's smiling faces ever again. Never get to see them return home after a commission. Never get to feel their love and their warmth.
A sad, pathetic sigh breaks loose. I can tell I'm at the end of my limits. That I can't hold on any longer.
This is the end for the woman known as the Oracle Knight.
And then suddenly, a warmth spreads through me. The darkness gives way to a golden light that had formed from the center of my chest as the pain miraculously fades.
"What's happening? The pain it's... going away?" I asked myself in the ever growing lightening dark. A voice echoes around me.
"I have purified you, my dear. Resetting your body to before the corruption had taken its hold on your form. Take care to not get corrupted once more. I do not believe I would be able to do this same process again with my powers as they are." I look around, the dark is now a gentle golden light. Someone's presence can be felt all around me. Their aura feels like a gentle mother cradling her child. It's... comforting.
"Who... are you?" I questioned them. The voice chuckled softly, and the phantom feeling of fingers brushing my cheek, wiping away the tears sends shivers down my spine.
"All I can say, is that- I am a Higher Power compared to even the Archons of Teyvat. I am only someone who wants to help you right the wrongs of another. This will not be the last time we meet, I can assure you, my dear. Though there are those who wish to deny my interference, I will always try to protect you. Now go, your companions are worried about your wellbeing." I felt their presence begin to diminish around me, before it was gone completely.
And soon enough, my eyes opened to the light of outside.
