Today is the day that we are picking Jon up from the rehabilitation facility and it has been a long time coming. This past month without the love of my life has been incredibly difficult because we have not been able to communicate on a regular basis.

All I have ever wanted was for Jon to sort out his personal issues for himself and I pray that he has been able to work through his past traumas. Jon is not one to talk about his past but I am aware of the shit that he has endured which is why I respect his journey because he made it out. I want him to be the best possible father that he can be to our child and he can't do that if he's keeping his demons locked in.

"Thank you for coming." I tell Colby and Amerie who are in the car with me. "I really appreciate the support."

I originally planned to come alone because I didn't know the state that Jon would be in and I didn't want him to feel overcrowded. Amerie is my emotional support so she slept over at my house with the kids to make me feel more relaxed and Colby is the emotional friend so he was already waiting outside of my house when we stepped out this morning.

"Always." Amerie gives my hand a squeeze.

Colby points to the building, "That's my brother in there so you never have to ask or thank me for anything when it comes down to that guy."

"A little warnin-"

Amerie cuts me off, "We know."

"Know what?" Colby furrows his brows as he turns back to look at us. "What do we know?"

"We're going to find an empty lot then go for a walk and maybe get some food." Amerie gives him a look. "The lunatic fringes need some time alone hence why Fia is rocking a sexy skirt set."
