"You're what?" Vince speaks after a couple uncomfortable minutes of silence.

Jax hasn't left my eyes and I keep searching his face for any emotion or feeling or any fuckin thought, I can't find fuck all.

He is so difficult to read. 

Matteo and Josie are tidying up the room and Josie won't stop squealing about how she's going to be an auntie.

"Jax?" I whisper, ignoring Vince's comment.

Nothing...

Oh god, should I take this as a bad sign or that he is just processing the information.

I twist the ring he got me on my finger while I wait for any kind of motion from him. I'm nervous as fuck to what might come out of his mouth.

His body isn't even facing me, it's just his head that's swivelled in my direction and that puts me on edge even more as he can just up and leave at any moment.

"WHOOOO I'M GONNA BE AN AUNTY!!!!" Jo screams so loudly, I feel like I've gone deaf. "Come on Blaire, let's have a chat." She says running over to me, she grabs my arm and starts hauling me up off the floor, but my eyes stay pinned to Jax's blank face.

What the hell is he thinking that's taking him so long to process words.

"Jo-" I get cut off by a firm hand on my other arm, it stops me from following Josie anywhere and I have to sit back down.

"Blaire stays." Jax mutters still keeping his hand on my arm and his eyes on me. Jo looks at me confused and I just shrug my shoulders because I don't know what's going on either.

"Jax can you fuckin say something, instead of this silence you're leaving me in?" I ask forcefully removing his hand from me so I can sit however I like.

"You're pregnant." He repeats sounding between shocked and angry.

"Yes Jax she's pregnant, what are you gonna do about it?" Jo shouts angrily and becoming annoyed at his lack of words, like me.

I cross my arms over my chest suddenly feeling insecure and uncomfortable.

"How far along?" He asks looking down to my stomach.

"4 or 5 weeks, I'm not sure." I confirm making him shake his head in return.

"You're pregnant." He says again but this time the corners of his mouth tips up at the corners, almost like a smile, but not quite.

I smile shyly at him and nod my head, not saying anything because I've said enough. It's time for him to open his goddamn mouth.

"I'm gonna be a dad!" He says sounding almost excited but it's gone in a instant. 

I smile even more and nod my head. 

His mouth becomes a wicked smile and it makes my stomach flutter with butterflies.

He grabs my waist and pulls me into his lap and kisses me harshly. This is the first kiss that we have shared that's almost felt so real because now we are becoming parents it's even more surreal.
