Tina's POV
I'm up before he is. It's approximately 5:30 a.m. and we're going back home to Clarendon. I have work in a few hours, am I aware that I'll be late? Yes, do I care? No.
I pick out clothes to wear. Just to realize that I didn't bring anything to wear to work so I'll have to stop at my house to retrieve working clothes. Oshane's scent engulfs me as does he when he's standing directly behind me, we're now standing at the foot of the bed with a suitcase opened in front of us.
"'Good morning," he greets. The mint from the toothpaste hits my nose and it slightly burns my eyes but the sensation is oddly satisfying.
"Good morning," I greet back and he places a slight kiss on the top of my head and causes me to blush.
"Nester will be bringing you home," he says, catching me off guard.
"What? No," I quickly defended. Our smiles are now stern and the couple seconds of silence are thick. He sighs.
"I can't take you Tina and I'm not allowing you to travel publicly and that's that," he finalises without my permission. Is Oshane for real right now? He can't make my decisions for me.
"I'm not going with this Nester person," I pause from folding my clothes and fold my arms instead.
"Christine just easy nuh man and nuh mek dis nuh harder than it already be, please. Nester is my friend; the closest one I have. Known him since childhood and I trust him with my life," he comforts and as much as I don't know Nester, if he trusts him then I guess I can. Better safe than sorry though.
"What about the baby?" I ask as if I'm his mother or something. I don't know why but I take a very strong liking to little Aldaine.
"My son will be with his grandmother until next week," he informs me and I smile at his words. I like his mother, she reminds me a lot of my own.
"Okay," I say, ending the conversation.
Work seems like a lot right now but if I want to pay the bills I have to go. I finish packing just as he's finished with his shower.
"Done?" he questions and I nod.
"Nester deh pon him way, a guh head out now," he says.
"Where are you going by the way?" I ask as he picks up a briefcase.
"Mek me ask you sumn,we deh?" he asks in return.
"Uh...no," I responded.
"Okay," is all he says before leaving.
Seriously?
This annoys me. I'm not sure if it's because he was rude or because it's true.
A few minutes pass and Nester finally arrives in a matt black Audi R8 blasting music. The music comes to a stop as does he. He parks and steps out of the car.
He's tall, not as tall as Oshane, maybe 2 inches shorter. He's definitely darker, pierced ears and a perfect build. Unlike his friend he seems to actually work out. Currently he's wearing a black fitted shirt and black jeans. A gold chain rests around his neck with a ring dangling from it. His dark aura screams dangerous and his sleeve tattoos compliment that very well. His waves are perfectly done, set just right to suit his face. His beard isn't full coverage so it barely covers his chin. He's fine, no questions about it.
"Christine?" he calls my name and it's then I realise I was staring.
"That's me," I confirm. He walks over to me, his strides are confident and intimidating but to me they're just sexy, his bowlegs are the reason for such pride in his steps.
"Oh? Suh a you mi fren a knock," he laughs but I don't find it amusing. His laugh is as deep as his voice.
"Nobody nah knock mi, we can just leave please and thanks," I ask, annoyance obvious in my tone.
"Easy nuh mumma, a joke. You strong eeh," he says, still smiling. His smile is close to perfect. His teeth are pearly white, they almost look like veneers.
I don't respond but I return the smile. He picked up my small suitcase and soon followed behind me as we walked to the car.
I can feel his eyes on my ass as I walk. I found a fitted black skirt and long sleeved white button up shirt that was given to me by Oshane. My body is well defined in my clothes and my confidence spikes, so I decide to put a little extra flare in my walk. My ass sways from side to side with each step.
"Damn," I barely hear him sigh under his breath and this causes me to smile. His eyes followed me straight to the car where he placed my suitcase in the trunk.
I open the passenger side door exposing the orange interior of the car. I take a seat and I'm shortly joined by Nester.
"Yuh ready?" he asks.
"Yes," is my simple response and not a second passes before he presses down on the gas. We go flying onto the highway.
"Oye, tek time wid mi sir, mi have mi mother and dog fi live fah," I partially shout and he laughs.
"Yuh dog?" His sarcasm is as dramatic as his laugh. It causes me to laugh as well. He slows down as he laughs.
"Yes," I laugh.
He's driving like his grandma is the one in the front seat now, when 5 seconds ago he was driving like he was at Dover.
"When mi seh slow down mi neva mean crawl," I roll my eyes and he hisses his teeth.
"My girl mek up yuh mind," he says and I roll my eyes once more.
"Don't drive like a madman but don't drive like yuh nuh know weh yah do neither," I complain and he sighs with a sly smile on his face.
"Why you nuh come drive and leave mi alone," he suggests and much to his surprise I agree.
"Okay,"
He hisses his teeth and speeds up.
8:30 a.m
I have a warm cup of coffee in my hand. I step out of the car where I'm met with the freezing cold of Mandeville. We're in the parking lot of the bank I work at.
"Yow," Nester answered his phone as it was ringing previously.
"Unu reach?" the unmistakable voice of Oshane asks from the other side of the call.
"Yeah mn bad charge, she good," he responds even though he didn't ask about me, I'm sure Nester is referring to me. He asks to speak to me and I'm handed the phone.
"So my phone doesn't work anymore?" I ask, my tone completely different. Like a school girl talking to her crush.
"Easy nuh Tina, yuh good? Patchy treat yuh good?" he asks and I don't know who Patchy is but I figured more or less that it's Nester's nickname.
"Yes Shaney," I blush slightly and I'm smiling like an idiot. For what? I don't know.
"Alright, good. Have a good day at work. Call if yuh need mi, zeen?" he instructs.
"Okay," I giggle and hand back the phone to Nester who is standing on the other side of the car.
"Weh yuh do to d people dem daughter dawg?" Nester laughs and I can't help but smile. I didn't hear his response because I took the phone off speaker when it was handed to me and I never bothered to turn it back on.
I tell Nester bye and I walk towards the building. I left him on the phone and they finished their conversation while I was inside.
I have a long day ahead of me and I'm not looking forward to it.
