"Christine, you did not just say what I think you said," she says, disappointment in her tone. I think about the man I fell in love with and tears prick the back of my eyes.
"Malie please," I beg.
"Christine you can't be serious," she says once more, malice lacing her tongue. She's upset and for good reason.
"Malie I don't want to I really don't," I cry and she hisses her teeth and face palms.
"Then why are you Tina?" she practically yells. I stay silent. Once again my mind goes back to my mother's home country.
"Christine why the fuck are you?" she repeats herself. She's getting impatient.
"He has my kids," I blurt out.
"What?" she asks calmly.
"He has my daughters," I tell her honestly. For the first time in forever the burden that was on my shoulders lifted a bit. I feel like I can breathe again but the feeling is cut short when I realize the organization that has my children is right in front of me.
"I can't let you go alone," Malie says and this makes me smile even though I have zero reason to right now.
"I'll be okay, I promise," I hug her as we both stood outside of the building.
"I'm here if you need me," she says and I smile. She lightly kisses my cheek.
After a few minutes she leaves and I enter the building. Pulling my suitcases behind me. I'm met with Xavier at the door. My bags are taken by a butler up to my old room.
"We have zero time to waste," he says, heading towards the door of the meeting hall.
We get there soon enough and there at the head of the table is the man that helped in my creation, my father. I hate seeing this man so much. Being in his presence I'd enough to make my skin crawl.
"Welcome back princess," he says and I cringe at his words.
"Don't call me princess," I say in a tone filled with nothing but disgust as I take my seat at the right hand of Xavier.
We got settled and my father, Leonard Perez, began to explain why we're gathered here.
"Christine, where's the thumb drive?" he asks and I sigh. Pulling it from the pocket of my blue ripped jeans. With a heavy heart I hand the small output device to my father.
"Gracias," he thanked.
All the heads of de diablo sit patiently for my father to explain why the tiny device is necessary and their patience is rewarded because he does just that.
"On this device is the information we need to take over the marijuana business in Jamaica. Right here is the layout of everything. All we have to do is rewrite and reset everything on this drive and we will be remotely controlling the whole operation," my father explains and I can't lie, I feel horrible.
Oshane's POV
My son is with his mother.Neva feel like bawl over oman yet until now tpc.
I entered the house. I headed straight towards my office to blow off some steam and get my head back together.
I turn on my computer and await its power on. I have a thumb drive with all my info and layouts just in case my computer crashes. It finally loads but I don't see any of my information. Neither do I see the fucking thumb drive.
That's strange, it stays in the same place all the time.
And it nuh jus tek up foot and fucking walk so what the fuck?
I decide to check the camera and what I see crushed my heart.
Christine?
I didn't want to believe it. She would never. Maybe she's being set up or framed. I can't believe it even though the evidence is right in front of me.
The alarm system on my computer begun to ring like crazy and I sat starstruck just staring at the screen. I don't know how to feel. The moisture of tears fell down my face. I'm not sure how to react.
Christine?? Fuck no, she wouldn't.
