Oshane's POV
I'm going to collect Aldaine today and even though I miss him, I can't be bothered with the trouble but he's my responsibility so I have to go get him.Incoming call from "little miss feisty🙄❤"
"Hey,"
"Hey Shaney, I'm in Spaulding. Could you please come and help me get these Christmas decorations back to my house?"
"On my way," I say and hang up.
Incoming call from "little miss feisty🙄❤"
I'm surprised to hear my phone ringing again just to check the caller id and it's her again.
"Yeah," I answered.
"A me call you don't hang up inna mi ears. Mi deh a gas station," she hisses her teeth and hangs up.
She sound vex yuh fuck.
I take a shower and put on grey sweatpants and a black tee. I get into my black BMW and make my way to Spaulding where I meet up with a very obviously upset Tina.
I got out of my car and walked up to her.
"The things are over there," she says, pointing to the store across from the gas station.
She's visibly upset. The anger echoes in her voice and there's something about it that I don't like. I don't react to her vexation, instead I load the remainder of decorations in the trunk of my car.
We drove to her house in our separate vehicles. We get out and unload the decorations into her living room.
"Thanks," is all she says and I sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose.
"Wah do yuh?" I ask and she hisses her teeth and rolls her eyes before getting up to leave.
"Christine, I don't have time for this," I voice a little harsher than I intended.
"I'm not asking you to be here Oshane," she points out and this annoys me to the bone.
I sigh before walking to the kitchen to get a bottle of water.
"I'm going to St.Mary," I tell her and she responds even though she's in another room.
"Whatever, safe journey,"
This is getting to me. I leave with the bottle of water. I don't want to do anything I'll end up regretting later.
I don't go back home, instead I make the three hour journey to St.Mary. I don't like having her being upset with me even though this is the first time. I'm not even sure what I did.
"Maybe you should have been more...idk...persistent. Now she probably think we nuh care dawg," the annoying voice in my head says and even though it's probably right, isn't it there to be on my side?
"Mommy!" I shout for my mother to open the gate and she does.
"Listen mn, stop come a mi yard come call out mi name," she argues from the verandah. Only my mother.
"Glad fi see yuh to mommy," I say, sarcasm lacing my tongue. I hug her and kiss her cheek and she smiles.
"Yuh likkle rude bwoy in deh," she signals into the house and I laugh.
"Come fi tek him offa yuh hands," I smile and she shoves my shoulder slightly and heads inside behind me, closing the door.
I'm just here to collect him and leave. I'd like to be home before nightfall. It's not safe for either of us to drive at night. I wonder how Christine's doing.
