Tina's POV
I'm met with a tattooed body and goofy smile when I drop the barbell."Ain't no way you just moved a 45 pound barbell," he exclaims and I laugh.
"I did," I smiled and I could feel Oshane's eyes pierce the back of my head.
"Terry," he says, an outstretched arm soon followed.
"Tina," I smile and shake his hand. He looks to be at least 6'1. He's a regular here but we've never actually met. He's muscular, with locs that reach him at the waist. I like them because they're small and neat. He's always smiling for some reason.
"You're here a lot," he says as he picks up two kettlebells, each weighing 40lbs.
"Yeah, I come here to get away from the stresses of work," I confessed and took a seat, he soon followed. Oshane opened the doors to the gym and walked out.
"It was nice meeting you," I shook his hand and grabbed my bags to run after him.
Soon enough I caught up with him. His legs are longer than mine so his pace is faster but I manage to catch up to him either way.
"Slow dung nuh," I say and he doesn't even turn around to look at me. Now I'm confused, because what the hell?
"Oshane," I say and he stops.
"Wah?," he asks and my heart sinks. That hurt way more than it should.
"Don't answer me like that and what's your problem?" I ask and he folds his arms.
"Nothing Christine," he says and attempts once more to leave.
"Don't walk away from me Oshane. Now what is it," I stand folding my arms and bouncing one leg in anticipation for his answer.
"Why don't you go ask Terry?" he asks and I roll my eyes because there's no way.t
"Are you serious right now? Are you jealous?" I laugh and he rolls his eyes with folded arms.
"It's not funny," he said, pulling his hands and making an attempt to walk away.
"If you look at it, you have no right to be jealous," I smile as I grab onto his hand, hindering him from leaving.
Why is he jealous?
The fact that he's actually upset says aslot. He's so much finer when he's upset. I bit my lip at the sight of the handsome light skinned man that towered over me.
"You're right," he says as he exhales and enters his car.
There's no way this man is planning on leaving right now. Afta him nuh crazy. We've only known each other for 2 days and I'm sure he knows that I'm not somebody to play with.
"Yuh coming," he asks. His foot hovers over the gas and I can't help but smile. What is he doing to me?
"I drove here genius," I roll my eyes and he face palms.
"Yuh nuh think mi know dat Christine?" he says in an obviously frustrated and annoyed tone. I can tell he's still upset with me and something about that just doesn't sit right with me.
"How would I know that you know?" I ask and he looks at me with his facial expression showing nothing but pure annoyance.
"We're going to come back, we're just going to get something to eat," he tells me, hissing his teeth in the process.
"Was I supposed to know that Shane?" I ask. Ignoring his arrogance, I entered the car and he didn't look at me.
He started the car as soon as I was in and headed into Mandeville. He refused to take his eyes off the road and this made me uneasy.
