HARDIN’S POV

The sunlight scorches my skin as I lay on the bed, with Tessa in my arms and I wake to the agony and see that we left the windows open last night sadly. I look down and see that, she is entirely naked and get up from the bed, reaching for the windows and shutting them. If I feel it scorching my skin, this woman wouldn’t be able to bear it.

“Tch”, she clicks her tongue, turning in bed, when finding me missing.

“Hardin”, she whispers in the room, and I stand on the other side looking at this dorkish woman, calling for me, even if I am only gone for like 2 seconds.

“Good morning, baby. Bed heads a good look on you”,

“Come back, you jerk”, she says, waving her arms in the air and calling me back.

“Do you want a shirt?”, I ask, even though not bothering with getting one.

“Nah. Come back”, I settle comfortably on the bed, her arms wrapping around me.

“Do you like pancakes?”, I ask, kissing her shoulder, just because.

“Shut up”, she shuts me down.

“Wow, I get one ‘I love you’, and then we are back to being grumpy to me.”.

I get no reply in return as she returns back to sleeping, ignoring me even though I know that she isn’t anywhere.

“Alright. I’ll just get pancakes then, no telling me I did wrong then”, I stretch and grab the little telephone from the bedside table, and dial the room service.

“Salut”, I go ahead and order a huge serving of crepe and fruits on the side.

“What do you want to drink?”, I ask her

“Coffee”, I hear a faint answer.

“Un cafe, en plus”, I say and the good man repeats my order and then hangs up.

“So, he sleeps with you and orders you breakfast in the morning, huh?”, she says, teasing me when she finally awakens to the morning.
“What, being a generic asshole means I can’t also be domestic. It seems you’ve still got a little bit to learn about me although we did learn a few things last night, huh”, I say and she shies beneath my eyes.

“Come here”, I lift up her chin ever so gently, pecking her lightly on her lips.

“No”, she pulls back and turns away.

“What? Why?”.

“Dragon breath. I don’t think you want to kiss me right now. Neither do I”, she replies, making me chuckle.

“Really? After last night, morning breath is what you are worried about?”

“It’s called dragon breath for a reason”, she says.

“A peck?”, I ask, sweetly getting my way somehow. She shrugs and pecks my lips lightly.

“We have to get up, It’s monday”, I groan, sadly knowing this little heaven has to be left behind for the while we work in the office and she sighs.

“Yeah, we need to get back. What department are you in today?”, she asks.

“I think…hold on”, I take my cell phone and check my calendar.

“I’m in production, today as well. Weird”, I say refreshing that damn thing again and seeing nothing new.

“I’m still in accounting”, she says as I hate the course my day will take.

“We are going to be separating today, I hate that for us. I’ve got to suffer Ichor all day alone. Fuck that asshole.”, she says, sitting up on the bed.

“Well, let’s hope it’s not too bad. Did you get a call?”, I ask, as she scrolls up her cellphone.
