Soobin kept his promise, for all these seven years that passed by Yeonjun never once crossed paths with Park Ji-sul.

But the last time any of them had heard about Ji-sul was six years ago, a year after Ji-sul dropped out of college, he had shifted to China.

Seven years of togetherness (two years of being married at that) and all out it was filled with happiness and love with arguments and disagreements thrown into a mix.

So many things had changed, Yeonjun wasn't just a student anymore but a renowned neurosurgeon in a high-end hospital while Soobin was already on the road of being added to the list of the most successful CEOs.

Life was going well for both of them, all settled down living in a luxurious apartment in the richest part of Seoul with their families living just a floor below them.

Everyone was together and Yeonjun only could smile as he left his parents house after hearing that Soobin was already home.

Being adults with the busiest jobs barely gave them any time to spend with each other so hearing that his husband was home Yeonjun was excited to go home.

Relaxing with his husband and having a nice conversation with his love was his top priority now as he couldn't help but take the stairs that were there just for emergency just to reach home sooner.

He was huffing and totally out of breath due to running up all these stairs, he tapped in the passcode and smiled dumbly at the door opening.

"Yeonjun," Soobin smiled, he had dropped the honorific for his husband along all these years of being together, "welcome home, my love."

"Good to see you here, baby." Yeonjun placed his briefcase on the side table taking off his shoes before just running into Soobin's arms finally, actually feeling at home hearing Soobin's laugh. "I missed you."

"Had a tough day, hmm, Dr. Choi?" Soobin wrapped his arms around Yeonjun, he was so used to his husband walking in and smelling like antiseptics all over that he couldn't even bother about it.

Rather, he liked it when Yeonjun smelled like that. His husband smelled like his passion, this was a part of Yeonjun and he embraced wholeheartedly.

"Not really," Yeonjun giggled, refusing to let go of Soobin rocking their bodies back and forth, "just planning and having a discussion about the surgery to be done tomorrow that's all I did and examined a few patients."

"With a stethoscope?" Soobin laughed seeing Yeonjun frown at him. "I'm joking, I know neurosurgeons don't need a stethoscope because the heart doesn't beat in the brain." He explained and just looked away when Yeonjun didn't even look a bit impressed.

Yeonjun still remembered when Soobin had given him a stethoscope as a gift on the day he had bagged the job of a neurosurgeon only to know that a neurosurgeon doesn't need a stethoscope or only needs it in certain circumstances that too is a rare occurrence.

"It's all Haebom's fault." Soobin groaned. "When I told him I need help with buying you a stethoscope he didn't even say a word before agreeing." He huffed and pulled Yeonjun to his chest.

"Because he was probably having fun over how much of a dumbfuck you're." Yeonjun snorted, finally parting away from the hug. "What's for dinner?"

"I already had two cheese tonkatsu on my way home and brought you one pork and one cheese tonkatsu." Soobin pointed at the box resting over the counter. "Apart from that I've prepared steamed rice and yesterday's prawn soup is heated up."

"What did you plan to eat?" Yeonjun asked as he rolled up the sleeves of his shirt walking towards the basin and washing his hands.

"Uh, I was going to have steamed rice with the soup." Soobin answered as he sat on the dinner table while Yeonjun brought everything to the table. "Please, get some seaweed sheets too."
