Round two...Chivalry battle?
I frowned while listening to Midnight's explanation.
The way the points were given was slightly... both in my favour and just not at all. You see, the higher you got, so say first, you get more points than second and so on. ... I got a lot of points...
Then there was the matter of making teams, I only really knew Shinso...
Why was this one of the most important things I was going to do in a long while?Immediately Shinso started explaining his plan.
"I'll make sure to take control over two others, that way we can—""You sure about... like morally?" I didn't have much against it, I was just looking out for Shinso I guess.
"Yeah, I had some strategies." Shinso told me.
In the end I joined his team.
We started, and I turned into a bird. Shinso told me to steal whatever I could while being a falcon. The rules said I just couldn't touch the ground, which was easy. Every time I got tired I could rest for a moment on his shoulder.
If our points were in danger I could put them around my neck and transform in an animal so they disappeared 'magically' like my clothes.
It was a simple plan, in the meanwhile he made sure to be swift and get more points on his own... with some students he had brain washed.Flying around I saw the green haired guy. His teammates used boots to fly up and escape the crowd. I swooped passed him and took his points.
His eyes widened as he saw.
Hearing the commentary (Present Mic) yelling about it I wanted to smile. Aizawa commented that it was how to play the game.I flew around and considered staying up in the air until it was over.
Seeing a high point I sat down and waited. Looking at the scoreboard I would grin, if I could, I was a bird after all.
Suddenly someone came flying at me, using explosions, it was the Bakugo kid.
"Dammit bird, die!" He shouted as he launched at me.I let out a small squeak and almost dropped the points.
I caught them a I jumped off the board.
For a while I flew around, dodging the boy. He wasn't really gaining points so he finally gave up. Looking down I saw him battling someone else. Maybe that's what's got him busy.I was more careful as I sat down again.
The green haired kid was gaining points again, that was fortunate. I almost felt bad for taking the points, almost.
Ice shot op the board and I flew up again, just to sit down a few meters up.
I looked for the person shooting the ice, but there were a lot of people it could have been.Just like that the time stopped and I flew down.
"Great job." Shinso said, "I was useless there for a moment."Showing the points I laughed, "It was honestly the funniest thing in the world, it was so easy."
That made Shinso smile.
I could only hope the points wouldn't effect the next round, this time we got first...
The top four teams were allowed to the next round. We got first!
"Hey Aizawa, let's grab lunch!" Mic said trough the mic.
"I'm gonna take a nap." I heard Aizawa say back. I smiled, that sounded exactly like him.
At lunch me and Shinso sat together, Murasaki sat with us, being depressed because she lost so quickly.
"I never asked." Shinso spoke up, "who's your favourite hero?"I frowned, I hadn't really thought about it lately, "it used to be... my brother, but I don't know anymore about that."
Murasaki looked up from her lunch, "what changed?"
Taking a breath I explained, "After my parents died he started drinking and stuff, he's kinda empty now, it's hard to look up to him with all that... weird stuff on my mind." I stopped myself before I said to much. I was tired.
"Oh." Murasaki said, "that's sad, I'm sorry."
Shinso looked at me, I smiled back, letting him know I was fine.
Lunch ended and we got to do some games. Loads of people had fun, but some just vibed in the shade and took a brake.
Me and Shinso sat under a tree. I quickly fell asleep next to him.
When I woke up I found Aizawa walking up to us.
I opened my eyes and noticed I was leaning against Shinso, who hadn't noticed Aizawa yet as he read a book.Getting up from the ground I went to meet Aizawa.
"Hey, aren't you supposed to take a nap?" I asked him.Aizawa shrugged, "I wanted to congratulate you, you're doing better than I expected."
I nodded, "mostly my quirk is just a thing." I looked back at Shinso, "I'm getting back, you should go back to Mic, it's almost starting again." I basically shooed him away.
Aizawa spared an extra glance at Shinso, I knew, but he finally walked away.
"Good luck." He told me."What was that?" Shinso asked as he looked up.
"Aizawa just wanted to say good luck." I said as I sat back down, hoping to get more awake before we had to start.
"And yeah, he definitely saw me leaning against you." I decided to tease him, knowing Aizawa wasn't going to actually hate Shinso, ever. Seeing Shinso getting nervous was simply funny.
