Week 2

(A/n I'm gonna be honest, I forgot how long the internships are, let's pretend it's two weeks cause that's what I've written)

Then the second week started. Day 8!
I looked at the sky as the train moved towards the city I had to be, my thought lingered on how to gain speed...

While patrolling for the first time that day I made a dive (as a bird) in order to save someone, Hawks congratulated me as I was faster then his feather. He himself had been battling a villain at that moment, so he had almost missed the person. Fortunately I could push them away from the big piece of rubble.

"Tokoyami." I walked up to him as we both helped around with boring things at the agency, "I think I got an idea, so, your quirk, dark shadow, it could throw me, right? In that case, I'd be able to catch up to Hawks!"

Tokoyami sighed as he shook his head, this was the billionth 'plan' we had come up with already.

That was when Hawks came from his office, he yawned and smiled at us, "How's the internship so far?"
Finally giving us attention.
Not that I'm desperate for attention.
But yes.

"Just fine—" Tokoyami was going to be formal.

"If I may be so honest," I cut him off, "Boring as hell, you're to fast so we've been trying to figure out how to gain as much speed."

"Great, let me know when you've figured it out." Hawks said, not actually caring. Rude.

Then the woman with schedule walked up to him, "Hawks, you've missed five appointments! Five! You've been ignoring me for almost a week now, if you could just stop for a moment, and listen!"

Me and Tokoyami looked in confusion as Hawks rolled his eyes, before he turned to the woman with a charming smile; he putting up a good act of actually caring. "I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out, send an email or something."

The woman seemed content to get the acknowledgment and changed the subject, "Endavor agency called with a question—"

"Answer it then." Hawks patted her shoulder before turning to us. "Let's discuss the very important matter..." his eyes scrolled the room, "Over there."
He led us to the lounge area, trying to escape any further words of the woman who immediately called after him about whatever the endeavour agency wanted.

He closed the door and sighed in relief, "The hero commission just won't let me fire that woman!" He complained before letting himself fall on the couch, "So, you know why I choose you guys?"

Wait, was this the part where it became interesting?
"Why?" Tokoyami asked.

"L/N, cause you can turn into a bird." Hawks said. I felt dumbstruck as Hawks then said, "Tokoyami, because you are a bird." Both of us visibly had paused, astonished by the information.

"Dramatic reveal." I finally mumbled in annoyance, my excitement once more gone.

Tokoyami sighed and asked, "That's the only reason?"

Hawks shook his head, "that's only fifty percent. The other fifty is because I wanted to hear about the USJ incident."
Oh, I wasn't there. So I was only chosen because I could turn into a bird. Great. Absolutely amazing! No wait, it's so great that the— I'll stop complaining and will continue the story. (:
