tw: blood, gore, derogatory thoughts

The world went almost quiet for a moment, as I felt the bus lurch and the mortifying sounds of metal scraping against pavement. I was thrown into the side of the bus, pinned between the window and some other kid. I could feel my bones crack as the pressure became unbearable. All I could do was scream out of terror and pain. I'm going to die, I'm going to die..

I closed my eyes as tightly as I could, trying to ignore the feeling of bone piercing my skin and blood flowing down my body. The bus was on it's side now, dangling over a river that happened to be there. This I only knew once a kid shouted: "We're going to fall into the water!"

I could feel every movement of the bus. The cold metal walls were becoming warm and sticky with my blood. I was becoming lightheaded due to how much blood I was losing; it seemed as if it seeped out of every pore in my body. Did I deserve this? Maybe everyone was right about me. Mom, Paul, Kyle.., even Cartman. Maybe they were all right. I was worthless. I was useless. Perhaps I do deserve such a painful death.

I sighed, shuttering as I did so. My muscles clenched and everything seemed to fade. I'll drown before I bleed out. Fuck, I've always been terrified of drowning.

Minutes that felt like hours went by before we finally heard the sirens of the police. I was still barely holding onto consciousness. But quickly, I heard a window smash and a man yelling out: "Stay calm! We'll get you all out, just stay calm!"

I waited patiently. I didn't expect to survive this, so I didn't mind that there would be others who would get to safety before me. They'd at least have a chance at survival. But it wasn't very long until they got to me. I was picked up swiftly and I grunted with pain as my savior's fingers dug into what seemed to be the sorest parts of my body. I was able to hear someone. Someone I drew the most comfort into.

"(Y/n)! Oh my god, Officer, is she going to make it? Fuck, (Y/n), I am so sorry. This is all my fault!"

Kenny..

I wanted to scream. Shout. Yell. Anything I could to tell him that this wasn't his fault. It was mine. Oh, Kenny, I chuckled to myself, what a fucked up world we live in.

As I laughed, I winced in pain. The movement of my ribs and lungs moving was excruciating. I felt completely mutilated. I was laid onto a stretcher and pushed into an ambulance, but right before they closed the doors, I was able to see the bus fall into the river.

Panic shot through my chest and up my throat. I began to sob but slowly stopped once I heard arguing outside of the ambulance.

"Let me go with her!"

"Young man, I have to get her to the hospital as fast as I can and you're postponing us!"

"Please, just let me get on. I love her and I need to be with her,"

There was a pause but soon enough the doors opened again and Kenny jumped inside. There was already a nurse in here, trying to bandage my wounds to the best of her ability. Kenny scurried over and fell onto his knees. I winced as he grabbed my hand gently.

"(Y/n)," he whimpered, "I'm so sorry. All of this is my fault. I shouldn't have jumped at him,"

I tried to look him in the eyes, but my tears made my vision blurry. But, despite the pain, I mustered up a smile. "It isn't at all your fault. You were trying to protect me. I owe you the world,"

"No, no.. I made you like this. Why would.. I deserve the world?"

My face turned serious. The nurse in the room was busy washing her hands, so I knew with the sounds of the water and the noises of the traffic, only Kenny would be able to hear me. I remembered back to when I was being carried out of the bus, I saw a disgustingly familiar face. Someone who was lodged at the front of the bus, opposite to where the police came from. Someone who never would've gotten out in time, before the bus fell into the river.

"Kyle is dead,"
