·         An Interview with Estelle Rosalie Arrowsmith, Winner of the 5th Annual Marvel Games:

Me: Estelle, first of all, I guess congratulations are in order for winning, but you also have my deepest sympathies. I know you had to do some hard things in the past few weeks, and I feel for you, I wish you hadn’t had to do them. But I’m glad you agreed to this interview.

First question: What were you going to do when it came down to you vs. a friend? (asked by @meepasaurus; author of Supernova Spectrum: An Avengers Fan Fiction)

Estelle: Well, as you all know, it did come down to me vs. a friend. One that in the end, begged me to win for the greater good. And as much as I hated what I had to do, I knew that he wanted me to do. But I will never forgive myself. If Tony can hear me, I am so, so sorry for what I had to do, and I hope, if she really is dead, you’re with Pepper now and you two are happy.

Me: What is it like to be with those famous Marvel Heroes? (asked by @marvel_struckk; author of Homewrecker & The Only Hope)

Estelle: Those first few days that I spent with Thor, Tony, Steve, Johnny, Bruce and Clint just made me feel intimidated. I would like to say that we all immediately clicked and became best friends forever, but we didn’t. We moved like pieces on a chess board, always calculating, wondering if they person we were talking to was using this for strategy. But even through that, I ended up with feelings for Clint and having Tony and Johnny as friends, and I will never forget them. But being around people like them, that had fought until they had literally been overrun by aliens, was pretty cool –even in this circumstance.

Me: What would be the worst way to die in the Games in your opinion? (asked by @lissa7)

Estelle: Hmm... The worst way to die would probably infection or drowning. Even though barely any arenas have large bodies of water, and not many tributes have the guts to drown someone, I’ve always heard that drowning is the worst way to die.

As for infection, it’s a slow and painful process that kills more people in the Marvel Games than actual fighting.

Me: What would be your ideal way to die in the Games? (asked by @lissa7)

Estelle: Why do you guys like me dying so much? Seriously? Oh well. Okay, my ideal way to die would be decapitation. Its quick, it’s pretty easy if the right person does it and I don’t think it would really hurt much, you know, because it would pretty much kill you straight away.

Me: Who do you think is your biggest competition in the Games? (asked by @lissa7)

Estelle: Hands down, my biggest competition was Tony Stark. All the other tributes had it out for me from the start; they all wanted me gone, but Tony... He knew all about my life. He knew most of my secrets and most of my strategies and so if he wanted to kill me, I most likely wouldn’t have suspected it. He could have slit my throat in the middle of the night if he wanted to –or killed me in every way he knew before actually ending my life. You can’t trust anyone in the Marvel Games, and I made that mistake before the Games even began –that’s one that can get you killed.

Me: Do you still have hope for Clint? (asked by @lissa7)

Estelle: That depends. I don’t know what kind of hope you’re talking about. If you’re talking about him in a rebellion –which he hasn’t ever been involved in –then yeah, I’d say I have hope for him. He’s not the type to cause problems, he’s more...diplomatic. He wants equal rights for everyone but also doesn’t want everyone’s lives being controlled by the Council.

If you’re talking about our, erm, relationship... then I don’t know. I really don’t. I’m not even sure we have a relationship but if he wants one... I guess I’d be open to it.

Me: Why do you think will win the Games (can’t say yourself)? (asked by @lissa7)

Estelle: Steve. Definitely Steve Rogers. I mean, everyone thinks that the Hulk will most likely win, or Thor. But I want Steve to win, he deserves it and I think he can do it. He fights for everything that’s right and good in the world, and I look up to him because of it.

Me: If you had to die in the Marvel Games, who would you want to be killed by? And you have to pick one of the hero tributes. (asked by @fluffysocks27; author of Natalia & Fairy-Godmother Fantasy)

Estelle: Again, I’d want to be killed by Steve. I just feel like he’d be quick and merciful, you know? Like he’d let me put up a good fight and he’d put up a good fight, just because it’s the honourable thing to do.
