Chapter 14: The Rebels

//Loki’s Point of View. Outside of the Marvel Games Arena; Stark Tower.//

“It has started.” Victor announced, emerging from the elevator with a furious look upon his face.
“What has?” Schmidt replied, perched on the kitchen bench like a common pigeon.

The room we were in was far too modern for my liking having been designed completely by Tony Stark weeks before I had won the Earth. We’d taken over the Stark Tower the moment my brother and his idiotic team of Avengers had fallen, given up.

“The rebellion!” Von Doom exclaimed, “I told you this would happen, Loki, did I not?”
“You did.” I nodded. “That does not mean it is a problem, Doom.” I was calm and calculating. I had fought tooth and nail for the Earth, I was not about to give it up easily. And I was most definitely not about to forfeit the Earth to the human scum we so kindly let live on our planet.

“He’s right, Loki. This isn’t very good for business.” Hammer spoke up, the bumbling imbecile; I often questioned my motives on what lead me to admit him into the Council. “It’s that Arrowsmith girl, I tell you. She’s nothing but trouble. We need to send someone in to end her. Permanently.”

I tsked Hammer and he immediately silenced and I smiled, happy with power. “We always end the humans permanently. But there is no need to send one of us in, the heroes will end her for us.”
“I agree with Loki on this one.” Erik Lehnsherr spoke up for the first time in a long while. “We cannot simply kill the girl now; it would be giving the rebels a reason to fight. A martyr if you will.”
“I have taught you well, Erik.” I commended, placing a hand on Magneto’s shoulder. “Hope, it is the only thing stronger than fear. A little hope is effective; a lot of hope is dangerous. This fact is fine, as long as it’s contained.”

Hammer stared blankly at me as I rose from my chair, my throne.
“So...” Hammer frowned as if I was supposed to continue my speech.
“So, contain it!” I snapped as Hammer and Von Doom scurried back into the elevator and rode it down to the lobby.

“JARVIS.” I said smoothly once I was alone.
“Yes sir.” The mechanical voice replied, I smiled again, I may despise Stark, but I loved his technology.
“Get me Vanko.” I ordered.
“As you wish, sir.”

Not a moment later than I had expected, Ivan Vanko appeared at the end of the corridor. His English was a little rusty, but I could still understand it.
“You wished to see me, Loki.”
“Yes. Tell Hammer to cancel the next Challenge and send you in the arena instead.” I told him. Without another question he left the room and I was alone again.

Say what you want about hope, but I preferred fear. And I needed to make that Arrowsmith girl fear me again, whether it meant killing her or keeping her alive.

Author's Note: So, first ever time I've tried to write in Loki's point of view - how did I do!?
Originally, this was going to be in third person, but I really suck at that so I was like 'hey, lets write in Loki's POV for funzies!'

Anyway! So, Estelle's fiestiness is starting up rebel groups and gorilla attacks challenging Loki's hold on the world -spooky!
And yes, that whole 'hope' thing that Loki says is a direct quote from the Hunger Games movie so, yeah, I don't own it!

:( Loki stole JARVIS! Bitch >.<
Anyway! Next chapter is going to be up very soon! I promise :) I'm trying to do a bucket load of uploads before Christmas because thats when I'm going to get very busy.
What do you think the next chapter will have in it?

Until then! Comment, vote, like!
