So, I posted this first on my Tumblr.

On a cold night, Jack Rollins was reviewing some classified reports in his office. As he flipped through the documents, he couldn't help but overhear laughter and conversation coming from the hallway.

Intrigued, he left his office and walked over to where the noise was coming from to discover that Steve was talking to you.

It didn't amuse Jack at all; he didn't like Steve being around you, but he didn't say anything.

The final straw was the day Fury decided that you and Steve would go on a mission together, but Jack's attitude towards you began to change as soon as he found out.

"Oh, come on, Jack, you're just jealous," you said when you realized what was going on. "You have nothing to worry about; I'm not interested in Rogers."

"But..."

"But nothing; after this mission, you and I will have a few days off."

Jack looked at you and understood. You were right; he was an idiot for being jealous.
