"Are you serious Leni?" Risa asked after hearing a statement from Leni who firmly sat on the opposite seat.

"Yes." Leni answered, "I'll be taking our son and he will work for me."

"He is still young, Leni!"

"Part-time."

"Why are you even doing this?"

"You're just going to keep him here in your house for the rest of his life?"

"Stop putting words into my mouth."

"Then ano ba ang gusto mo?!"

"I'm scared of his life! Ano ba!" Risa rose from her seat, her voice raised.

"You are imprisoning him, the same way of what the syndicate did to him years ago!"

"He has everything here."

"He needs a life, Risa." Leni then stood up and raised her voice,

"His life is still in danger."

"I adopted him!" Leni shouted,

"I did the paperwork, I wrote my name as her mother, and you didn't!" Risa shouted back.

"Ris." Leni softly spoke, "He is my son, too."

"Issa, Ianna, Kiko and Sinta already treat him well, almost like family. You're just here to take him away from us?"

"I am not here to be the bad guy, Ris. I want him to live like everyone else." Leni then opened a brown envelop and gave it to the taller woman, "Check these out."

"What are these?"

"You have no idea, do you?"

Risa then went through the papers in the envelop. They were multiple sketches and scribbles of words and graphics. She was amazed with all the sketches as she flipped through each page.

"George made those." Leni continued, "This kid has a lot of talents and I want him to grow. I want his skills to shine. So please, let me take care of our son this time."

Risa stared blankly at Leni.

It was a few years since both of them decided to become the parents of George. Behind their respective busy schedules, both Leni and Risa reached out to different informants and individuals who would have any idea to who George's parents were.

While this was ongoing, Risa had nothing else in priority but to keep George away from the public. Leni however, wanted the boy to live a normal life regardless of having a robotic arm that he had to hide.

Both of them knew that they were not out of the woods yet. As long as George's parents still roam free and the syndicate still active, they still have to be careful.

Risa then realized that George deserves to have a normal life than just being stuck at home. For a few years, the boy read books, learned a lot of Internet courses, and made blueprints of things that he wanted to create. He scanned all of these sketches and emailed them to Leni.

"Okay then." Risa finally answered, "Take good care of him."

"He's old enough now, Ris. He'll be fine."

"If ever you would neglect him," Risa said, "I wouldn't hesitate to march into your office and take him away."

"I never left you. So why would I even do that to our son?"

"Because you sometimes neglect people's feelings, Leni. Especially—"

"Hmm?"

"Nevermind."
