Mi always dream 'bout Merica way,
But Guyana show mi it beauty in every way.Deh people dem, dem mek mi sick,
But mi soon realize, mi ah one ah dem quick,
Mi want to be part ah deh culture an' ting,
But ah feel so outta place, ah wondah if ah bling.Mi searchin' fa a reason fi love mi black,
Fi love mi Guyanese, fi love mi way a life, mi way a chat,
An' den ah realize, mi beautiful like deh land,
An' Guyana, mi heart, mi soul, mi heritage, it grand. So mi embrace mi roots, mi culture, mi kin,
An' ah proud fi be Guyanese, fi be Caribbean,
Mi may feel outta place, but mi belong,
Guyana, mi love, mi heart, mi soul, mi song.Deh food, deh music, all ah dat,
Mi love deh vibe, deh energy, deh chat,
Ah learn fi cook, fi dance, fi sing,
Ah learn fi appreciate everyting.Mi realize now, ah nuh shame fi be me,
Mi Blackness, mi Guyanese, ah nuh apology,
Ah proud fi rep mi country, mi people, mi race,
Ah proud fi show deh world mi beauty, mi grace. So watch out world, ah stepping out,
Ah showing off mi culture, mi clout,
Ah making waves, ah making noise,
Ah representing Guyana, ah showing mi poise.Mi a Guyanese gyal, born an' raise,
An' mi proud fi show deh world mi ways,
Ah love mi country, mi culture, mi kin,
Ah love being Guyanese, ah love being Caribbean.
