The Beauty of Poetry

I don't write poetry for the money or fame,
Though it would be nice to be recognized,
And earn some cash to live day by day.
But for me, poetry is much more than that,
It's a happy place where emotions are tamed,
And I can be free without any strife.

With poetry, I'm the master of my own word,
The teller of my own tale.
It's like a therapy that can be heard,
Bringing out the best and worst without fail.
It's the way I can express myself,
When words fail to flow,
And emotions that are locked inside,
Are finally allowed to show.

It's a weird relationship with ups and downs,
But poetry allows me to be free and sound,
It's a beauty that truly never drowns.

When the world seems too much,
And my mind is full of noise,
I sit down with my pen and paper,
As my thoughts unfurl like a rose.

And in that moment,
There's something magical about the way,
A few words can make me feel alive,
And though I may not write for fame or money,
Poetry is what helps me thrive.

So I'll keep writing, day by day,
Sometimes it will be good, sometimes bad.
But the beauty of poetry will always stay,
A constant reminder of the joys we've had.
