The truth

"Really? I love you too " I reply
Kai smiles, bigger than ever before and I do the same after that we hugged for at least 5minutes and we walked home together. This was no doubt the best day of my life.
" Bye, I love you " I say
" Love you too, bye " Kai replies
Then I walk in the door. I see my step mum preparing dinner and I smile at her.
" How was school Avery? " She asks
" Great thanks, what are we having ?" I ask politely.
" Salad and Veggies " she replies
I smile, nod and walk into my room.
After dinner I was texting Kai all night and it was so fun. We told jokes and embarrassing times, but then he told he something that stunned me. It read......
" Before we go any further I just want you to know......... I'm not human...... I'm a demon. I don't want you to treat me any different, the only people who know are you, Adam, Harvey and Seth. I get angry really easily and I can't control myself when I do. Please try not to make me angry. When I was telling off Amy and Bri I was about to lose my temper. When I do my eyes go black, I turn red with anger and I have harmful powers. Just.........try not to be scared of me, I won't hurt you, okay?"
"Okay" I replied
" I have something to tell you to "
"What is it? " He answered
" You remember those scars that were on my legs? Well a couple years after my mum died my dad blamed her death on me, not knowing that he was to blame, and I have had depression and anorexia for a few years now, but my depression thing isn't as bad as before." I say
" Oh okay well it's okay I'm always here if you need me, okay? " He answered kindly
" *giggle* okay"
" Now you should get some rest, I'll see you at school. I love you, goodnight" Kai said
" I love you too, night " I answer, and those words are all that I remember until the morning.
