vanished without a trace

The next morning I was waiting for Kai at school for ages but he didn't seem to show up. " He would text me if he wasn't going to show up, wouldn't he?" I thought. The bell rang and I headed off to class. He wasn't at school all day and I ended up walking home, alone.

The next day he wasn't at school again. I was starting to worry and I felt like he was watching me but I didn't believe myself and had a miserable day.
Seth, Adam and Harvey were asking me why Kai wasn't here and my answer every time was
" I DONT KNOW "
That question was asked a lot during the day and I was getting really sick of it, to be honest. I was walking home and felt like I was being watched again and had to keep on looking over my shoulder.
Is been a couple of days and I definitely know that something's up. So I went over to his house and knocked on the door and his mum came to the door.
" Oh hello Avery, glad to see you"
" Hey mrs Reid, is Kai home ?"
" I think you need to come and see this, follow me" Mrs Reid replied
I followed her into Kai's Room and saw that all of his stuff had gone! but on his bed I found a note. I started to read it and tears fell down my cheek.
" Mum, I have left because I don't want to put any of you in danger. There are people out to get me and I didn't want you to get hurt. Tell Avery that I love her a lot and I'll see her soon. I will be watching over you two and protect you from harm. I promise I'll see you all again soon.
Love you both bye xxx "
I fell to the floor and started to cry uncontrollably. Mrs Reid out her hand on my shoulder and started to cry as well. The only thoughts that were in my head were.
" Where is he?", " Is he okay?", " When will he come back ?"
Then I got up and hugged mrs Reid goodbye and ran out. I didn't end up going to school that day. On my way home I got jumped by some guys at school, Kai kept his word and came and protected me and stopped the guys from jumping me. I was so happy to see him.
" Oh my god babe, you had me worried sick" I yelled
"I didn't want you to be in danger baby girl, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself, okay?" said Kai
" Okay" I replied
I persuaded him to stay all though it wasn't easy. The day had basically finished and we walked home together and said our goodbyes
" Before you go can you please promise me that you will stay?" I said
" Okay baby girl, I promise "
After that we hugged and went to our houses. I was still worried that he would leave but I trust him with my life. I know that he won't leave.
