Saturday morning, I went up to Kai's house to see if he had stayed, he did. I sighed with relief and knocked on the door and I see him all bruised and injured, I almost cry to see him this way. "Babe, what the fuck happened, and tell me the truth!" I say with a lot of force. He grabbed my hand and pulled me inside and quickly shut the door behind him and we rushed to his room.
" Okay Avery I'll tell you but...... don't freak out okay?"
" Okay "
" *sigh* I was coming home at night after I made sure you were safe and these bikers came up to me and asked me what I was doing, but I kept walking, then one got a plank of wood and started to bash me with it and I took a while for me powers to activate and I killed them all. but I promise I'm completely fine"
I sobbed a little but I stayed strong
" I'm sorry " I say
" Baby girl it's not your fault " he replies and I ran to him and gave him a big hug and didn't let go.
" Please, If you're going to protect me, make sure you can protect yourself first, okay?" I plead
"Okay, babe I promise on my life "
Kai agreed.
Later on Kai and I were driving to the shops, when tragedy struck. He was talking to me and he got distracted and went off the road. We crashed into a tree and flipped a few times before it was over. I struggled to get out of the car, but Kai.......... Kai wasn't as lucky as I was. He was unconscious. I got him out and I call for an ambulance. He was bleeding and bruised with severe cuts. I wasn't as bad, I had deep cuts and bad bruises. The ambulance came and we rushed off to the hospital. We were rushed into emergency and the last thing I remember was Kai I reached out for his hand but didn't quite reach it, then everything went black.
