Outsider

We escaped.

We are walking down this long, dark hallway with two gang members at the front and two at the back. Kai whispers something in my ear. " ok baby girl, this is what we are gonna do. I will use my powers to knock out the guys and u will run for the door ok?"
" what about you?" I asked.
" I'll be right behind you, now act natural ok?" Said Kai.
" ok " I answered.
About five minutes later Kai lit like a red traffic light. And threw two guys back down the hallway and they ended up smashing into a wall. I looked at Kai and Kai looked at me.
" RUN!!" Yelled Kai and we both ran for the exit. After having no food for water for a long period of time it was hard to keep but with him. I started to feel dizzy and fell onto the ground. I could hear the foot steps of the remaining gang members and Kai pleading and yelling at me to get up. I wasn't strong enough to keep going. Kai eventually picked my up and carried me over one shoulder. We were heading for the exit when one of the gang guys pulled out a gun and shot Kai in the arm. He was screaming and moaning but still kept me on his shoulder and thrived to get home. We got out of the dark house and into Kai's car that he drove here in and headed off. He gives me water and my vision becomes clear and I began to get stronger. I see Kai's arm and start to cry a little. It was bleeding heavily and stained his shirt. He was holding back screaming and just clenched his arm tight.
" do you want my shirt to wrap around ur wound?" I asked softly.
" no baby, I'll be ok." We let out a fake smile and kept driving. I slowly started to drift off but I wanted to stay up with Kai to make sure he was ok, but I couldn't.
" Thankyou my lovely boy." I went off to sleep and didn't hear his reply. Last thing I remember was him holding my hand as I slept and kissed my forehead.
