Suddenly there was a piercing pain in her neck as electric shock zinged through her sending waves of mind-numbing agony through her limbs before she could even scream. She vaguely heard a thud as her knees dropped hard against the concrete, and she swayed forward, paralyzed from the shock. The electricity stopped, and YN's vision darkened, the last thing she remembered being Blake's hands cupping the curve of her neck before she hit the ground.

""""""""""

YN blinked blood away, then coughed. Blood dribbled down her front. She snorted, and more blood splattered out. It could have been the shock, or it could have been the X-FLSIH working to keep her alive after the shock.

In this case she hoped it was the later because for once X-FLSIH would let her live longer.

She flexed her fingers, which had been bound together with rope. Her feet were the same. Pressing into her back was the frame of a wooden chair. She opened her eyes. Blake watched her with a solemn face.

"Ah, you're awake."

YN stared, processing. "Let me go," she growled finally. "What the hell is wrong with you." She aggressively struggled, which did nothing but rock the chair. It didn't even loosen the ropes. Blake– no she refused to think of him as a person. She refused to give him the power of something greater and dangerous. The insect was not incompetent.

The creature grabbed her hair and yanked it back, forcing a yelp of pain from YN and effectively stilling her. His eyes roamed her face, still melancholy. "My love, please stop." he said. YN was absolutely dumbfounded.

"W-what are you talking about?"

"YN, the moment I saw you I knew I would marry you." The boy–insect's face morphed into that of immense disgust. He yanked her hair tighter and YN suppressed a gasp and glared back, refusing to give him the satisfaction of her pain. "But you're a cheater. That stupid brown-haired boy put his hands on you. You accepted his affections." With every sentence his face grew further and further enraged.

YN spat a mouthful of blood at him.

He dropped her hair and stumbled back, furiously wiping it away. He raised his hand and landed a resounding slap on her cheek. It shocked YN. Not because she couldn't take a beating, but it wasn't the first time she had been in a situation like this. The boy slapped her again and again, but YN was sucked into an old and gratefully forgotten memory

The taser was stuck against her neck, snapping her out of her dazed memory. YN couldn't help it this time, she screamed, and the chair almost tipped over.

"Why aren't you answering, huh? Filthy slut."

YN gasped, trying to recollect herself. The memory had jarred her beyond recovery. Helplessness set in, and fear as well. It was exactly how she had felt in the memory when her dad beat her and Eli hid and watched.

The fear must have been apparent on her face.

"I'm sorry my love." The boy said, suddenly very quiet. "But a good wife must learn to be faithful. I saw you with that other worker. I saw you with the bearded gangster. I don't want to hit you, this is for your own good. You have to behave. You belong to ME. Not anyone else. Not that brown-haired boy."

The mention of Jace, Vasco, and Johan more effectively snapped YN out of her caging memories. Johan. She'd told him to meet her. When she wasn't at work she hoped that he'd figure something out. Jace would help too right? YN regretted pushing Jace away so much. He probably hated her. And Johan might think that she was running away again. She cursed herself for being so stupid. Then she cursed herself for expecting other people to save her. Like she had told Eli, she was fine alone, and she would be fine now.
