Footsteps didn't follow her again, but one day as she was leaving the Coffee Shop, someone placed a hand on her shoulder. Immediately, she grabbed, elbowed her assailant in the gut, then flipped them over her shoulder, only to find it was Johan who flipped midair and crouched to absorb the impact before he hit the ground. With lightening quick reflexes, she grabbed it and flipped the person over her shoulder, slamming them on the ground, only to find it was Johan, who flipped in midair to land and absorb the impact.

Johan raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, but his eyes were still dark and angry. His words gave YN a tingling feeling though. "I told you, you shouldn't be walking alone in the dark," he muttered. "Call me or ask one of your coworkers. If they're worth shit they'll agree."

YN fought a smile from spreading on her face. He didn't hate her!

"Come with me," he continued. "I'm going to show you why I don't need loyalty. And I'm the only God Dog anyways."

YN's smile dropped. None of this sounded good. "Don't worry about me, there is usually another guy that helps finish up. He had to go help a friend though. He insists on at least seeing me to my neighborhood." She didn't mention his name, because Johan would have probably forgotten Jace already, and didn't particularly like the Burn Knuckles either.

Johan's eyes narrowed. "He knows where you live? Who?"

"Oh, he's trustworthy don't worry."

Johan averted his eyes, still sounding angry when he said, "How come he knows where you live? I think I would be a better option."

Is he mad at me or not? She resisted the urge to teasingly pat him on the head. "Okay come now."

"No! Never invite a guy to your house! Especially this late!"

This guy's actually trolling me, what. "Uhh. Okay.."

Johan flushed but looked away before she could see. "C'mon," he growled, grabbing YN's fingers. Her innocence served as a constant reminder why he wasn't good for her. Every time he wanted to grab her and kiss her senseless was a reminder of how she would never feel the same. And when she mentioned Big Deal, he hated the love in her voice; the reverence. When she talked about how different God Dog was from Big Deal, he hated himself. He wanted to be talked about with that love and reverence, he wanted to be the one for her.

"Wait but you haven't told me anything!"

Johan was annoyingly silent and annoyingly hot as the pair took the subway to Gangbuk from Central Seol. They sat in a two-person, the train was blissfully empty, with YN pressed between the window and Johan's broad shoulders. She tried testing her head on the window but that rattled her brains. Luckily Johan either didn't mind or didn't notice when she leaned on his shoulder and closed her eyes. Like always, Johan gave her that bizarre sleepy feeling.

She was gently shaken away when they arrived at the station, but Johan refused to even glance at her as he tangled his elegant fingers with hers and led her through the street. He's definitely mad at her. But Johan got mad, he was furious.

"Johan." She pulled him to a stop and latched on to his arm. "Tell me what's happening."

Johan glanced at her with his stormy eyes. "Fine. There's a gang here. And I'm going to show you exactly why I don't need loyalty." He hesitated. "I just need yours."

YN pressed her lips together. Nothing felt right about this situation. "Fine."

Finally, he dragged her to a filthy location that appeared to be a karaoke bar. It was heavy with smoke and the acrid smell of booze permeated the air. Nausea rose to her throat at memories that were on the edge of her mind. YN struggled to keep her expression cold and emotionless.

The pair were greeted by hostile glances, on faces that definitely didn't belong to high schoolers.

YN's stomach was flipping as bile rose to her throat. It was an adult gang. Adult gang's meant weapons. YN's fingers flinched, as she resisted grabbing her head for the splitting headache. An important and painful memory was about to resurface, and there couldn't be a worse time. Her eyes flashed with silent fury, not at the surrounding hostiles, but at Johan. Why would he keep this from her? She inwardly swore. It was because Johan was naive and overconfident. He didn't believe there existed a challenge he couldn't overcome with his genius skills. YN learned the hard way that oftentimes, the only thing you could control was yourself. And she couldn't even do that anymore. Ugly murmuring filled the room. She caught a few words of "babies", "hot girl", and "fish bait".

"I'll give this warning once. This is God Dog territory. Leave," Johan spoke up finally, letting his voice carry."

Johan's glare intimidated many, but most frightened of the kid who was half their age.

"Oh yeah baby? Or what?" Someone asked, steeping all up in Johan's face, towering over him. Johan studied the newcomers face intently for a few moments, then grabbed his collar and easily flipped him, dashing him to the ground using mma. YN flinched. The staring was something she would do. And there was Jake's MMA. Her head began to spin, the memory trying to yank her down underneath the rapidly filling waters. Her vision darkened and began flashing between reality and the memory as she desperately fought to remain in the present. Her hearing began to numb, muffled by the heavy heartbeats in her ears. This was the absolute worst timing.

Trapped in the senseless limbo, YN reacted instinctively when someone lunged at the two of them with a knife. She hadn't heard where the conversation was heading, as her concentration was focused solely on remaining in the present. She grabbed the hand holding the knife, forced it downwards, then with her elbow landed a devastating strike on the man's forearm, hearing a bone snap. As she launched a flying roundhouse kick to the man's temple, she dully registered Johan's smug face. At that moment she absolutely hated him.

He was using her. Using the moment when she wasn't in control for his own benefit. Taking pleasure in her skills that at the moment weren't hers. But these thoughts did little to return her to control, she thought as she subconsciously slashed the knife at another man's throat, who managed to dodge it. Thank god too. She didn't want to kill anyone.

YN's body and her mind were moving on different paths. Her body instinctively sought out weak points, using most of YN's most formidable skills, and especially making use of her superior speed. She moved in sync with Johan, who was fighting at her side. What was truly ridiculous, YN thought as she rolled over Johan's back to land a crescent kick with more velocity, was that she was using moves she had only seen Max and Dereck use in partner fighting with Johan. He obviously had not seen them before, but was getting along just fine by watching her.

The real battle YN was waging was her cognitive one. Recalling Max and Derek made the pain in her head twice as bad, and numerous memories still dulled her senses.

Suddenly it felt as if someone had stabbed her head. A memory took over.

"I'm not going to run over a pedestrian because six dumbasses ran into a gang hideout!" YN was saying.

Sinu laughed. "Good girl. But please do hurry it up its super cramped back here."

YN yelped from the pain and faltered. At that crucial moment all her senses snapped back and YN was aware that she had dropped to her knees and was milliseconds away from being stabbed by an angry old man. It seemed to happen in slow motion. The man was a dodgeable distance away from YN, but she couldn't move, paralyzed with past memories. She kept her eyes wide open though. What a pitiful place to die...

She was shoved out of the way.

YN shrieked with shock and disbelief as the knife sank into the Johan's abdomen.
