She went to school with Eli the next day. He hadn't said anything more, but she could sense some kind of strange new resolve within him. She was about to ask him as the trekked the path up to J High when blam!

Warren Chae's fist connected with Eli's face. "Come out, come out wherever you are!" There was a tear in his eye.

"Found you. Eli Jang," Sally whispered. "No more hide and seek."

Warren turned to YN and she raised her hands in surrender, not knowing the lore at all. (she came to Hostel after the hide and seek incident and was with yenna while Eli said his goodbyes to the rest of Hostel). Warren settled for whacking her on the back of the head. Then he lunged for her and squeezed her in a crushing hug.

When he let go, Sally took his place. "You are the greatest person ever YN. None of us would hear Heather out, but you, who had known her for less than a month, was willing. Not even me, her best friend," she was whispering in her ear. Her voice was getting choked with tears.

"Oh." YN was surprised to find her own face wet with tears. She had thought she had cried herself out last night. "Oh..." the tears were falling faster now, and Warren gripped the back of her neck before using his sleeve to unceremoniously wipe her face.

"Don't cry, the big uncle is here." He was grinning.

"Oh." She was crying still, of happiness now. Goddamn this is cringe, shut the fuck up YN. She hugged Warren again, partly to dry her face on his shirt.

A sound akin to an explosion caused them to pull apart. Sally had been sent flying by Logan's eruption.

"Hey what was that?! You're supposed to say sorry if you hit someone!" she raged.

"Oh sorry. I didn't see you because you're so damn small," Logan quipped.

Warren headbutted him. "Oh sorry." he quoted. "Cause you're so damn small."

"Warren, don't! We're done with him now that we met Eli! Eli's waiting, let's just go!"

Logan surprisingly let the fight go... YN's friend group crowded around, helping Sally up. Zack and Warren exchanged corny titles as the girls chattered. Weird ass men... Sally seemed to be thinking along a similar vein, bringing Vasco up in unison with Zoe.

A sudden ice wall seemed to spring between the groups.

"Ah, I see," Warren said. "So you guys are who Vasco was talking about. J High. I've heard a lot about you. Although I didn't expect to meet you like this. Daniel Park. Tell Vasco I said Thanks. I gotta go now. Our boss is looking for us."

Sally grabbed YN's hand and pulled her away with them, and YN could only fit in a wave as she was dragged away. She couldn't keep that grin off her face.

"Oh! OMG! You're all grown up, you have high school friends and stuff!" Sally threw herself around her shoulders in a hug. "AHH Big Mama's so proud. You have fun."

"They can wait," YN insisted.

The rest of the afternoon was spent swapping stories.

The next few weeks were spent between her shack, Hostel, and J High. Life proceeded mostly as normal, but now suddenly with a new rigor. She was no longer bored. She did crave things, the hole in her being was still there, and she wished Jake wasn't in prison or at least that she'd be able to see him, but now life wasn't unbearable. The world that she had been raised in by Sinu, the world of gangs, was no longer separated. And her J High friends, at least those who cared, knew about her strange involvement with Hostel.
