As you were about to expose your ability to the enemy, Dazai showed up out of nowhere. "Alright~! That's enough you two. Y/n, you should head back to the office now."

"Huh? Ugh, Dazai?! What the hell are you doing here? Plus, you shouldn't butt into a middle of a fight." Chuuya began to complain.

"Ah Chuuya, it's you! Anyways, let's go Y/n." he said, facing you after shortly noticing the short man.

Chuuya's irritated mood could be seen pretty obviously as it was written all over his face. "Tch, I'll be leaving now. Of course! You just had to ruin the fun." he rumbled to his own as he walked out of the scene.

Dazai just watched Chuuya leave with a small laugh catching up to his throat. "He's quite a funny guy, right Y/n- Y/n!"

He called out of concern, fortunately catching you before you could impact the ground. You lost your balance already and couldn't stand up on your own from all the damage you just absorbed when you just acted like your body's an armor for the whole duration of the fight.

"Y/n..." Dazai spoke your name in a quiet and soft tone as he looked at you with pity in his eyes.

"I'm..fine. It's just a.. scratch." you muttered, trying to make use of your legs and feet but it was no use. The gentleman lent you his shoulder as you two headed back to the office safely.

The bandaged man showed a relieved smile as he mumbled to your unconscious body lying on his arms, "Do you always have to push yourself to the limit?"

At the Port Mafia's headquarters, Chuuya managed to bring back two out of the three new recruits that were said to be responsible for making a ruckus in broad daylight.

"I'm... s-sorry!" the man begged numerous times to the orange haired executive but it was no use as he didn't lend his ear to them.

"Take 'em away. They have proven their worth and unfortunately, it's not qualified to become one of us." Chuuya calmly spoke to his subordinates with anger trailing behind as he exited the scene shortly after.

He then headed to his boss's office to report about the recent incident.

Sounding evil as ever, Mori spoke, "I assume you have already accomplished the simple task I handed to you."

"Yes, I had my subordinates dispose of them already. As for the other one missing, we're tracking him down. There is one more thing, it wasn't me who punished them."

"Oh? Could you elaborate on that more?"

"It was one of the agency members. It looks like the police had alarmed them about our new recruits' brash behaviors and took action right away."

"Hmm, well aren't you a lucky one? It saved you the effort of beating those scums to bloody death."

Chuuya just became silent for a while as that event reoccurred in his head. He was very much curious about you and your identity. He was quite convinced that you were no normal detective.

"You know the rules here. Crush the armed detective agency. I will be looking forward to the day that they have been completely wiped out." Mori said, laughing afterward.

It's been about a week since you had that fight with one of the top executives of the port mafia and that incident hasn't left your mind. Maybe because it has been a while since you had a good battle? You could've surely won if Dazai didn't intervene but all's well that end's well.
