"How was it? Did you sense any hints that can pinpoint enemies' location?" Dazai asked to Kouyou who just went back from scouting the area.
She answered, speaking in a calm voice, "Unfortunately, I didn't. They're good at concealing their traces. I even went back to where we last saw them but I only found myself in a dead end."
He relaxed his back and placed his hands inside his pockets as he spoke, "They might be waiting for us to make a move. Should we step on their trap? Or should we make our own? What do you think?"
"Whichever will put them in a tight stop, I shall go with that direction." she replied, lightly chuckling right after with her long sleeve covering her laughing expression.
Suddenly, Aya jumped out of nowhere and scared Dazai to which he acted the way she expected him to act.
"Ah! You scared me there, kiddo. What are you doing here?" he bent down his knees to look at the child with a pure smile on his face.
Aya giggled, "I was finding you, Mr. Dazai! I almost got lost trying to find you but then I saw a shadowy figure from over there and followed it and here I am!"
Dazai's smile disappeared as it was changed from an alerted reaction though he is hiding it from the child to not make her confused. "A shadowy figure? It must be Chuuya you saw. Why don't you go back to the resting room, hmm?"
"Do you want me to sleep? I am feeling sleepy but I wanna know more about mama and papa!" she excitedly spoke with her eyes glistening.
A mischievous grin formed on Dazai's face while Kouyou was just there presenting a blissful smile, making her exit shortly after gazing at the child.
"You wanna know more about them? Aya, you might be too young for these type of stories but anything for you!" Dazai exclaimed, patting her head to which she cheered a short yey.
Once the lady left the two alone, she traced the child's path from where she came from since Kouyou didn't come from the direction Aya pointed where she saw a "shadowy figure". In fact she never used that path yet and saw no one at that side of the building.
Has the enemy found us already? If so, how did they manage to know about this place? Maybe someone's spying on us, she went on with her train of thought while keeping an eye out for the people inside the inn.

You took the courage to place a blanket on top of Chuuya's sleeping body, trying your best not to wake him up. At the end of day he is still human and not all the time you're enemies...at least that's what your heart is speaking right now.
You dropped the blanket and was about to leave but Chuuya grabbed your hand as he turned over to his side, dragging you closer to him. "Eh? Chuuya?" you blurted out from surprise, soon noticing he's still asleep.
Uhm...how am I gonna get out of this situation?, you thought to yourself as a sweat dropped down the side of your forehead.
You tried lifting his fingers that's latched onto your palm. He then began to say something almost like murmuring words, "Don't...leave...me...yet...please."
As you heard those words, your eyes and gaze very much softened at the figure of the sleeping beauty whose words sounded melancholic.
Your body then flinched as you heard Dazai speaking by the door, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and had a wide grin on his face, saying, "What's this am I witnessing? How lovely it is."
