You ran, and ran, and ran, until your legs were about to break with the child putting more weight on you as ever.

"Aya...I can't...run anymore." you muttered to her, your legs going numb already.

You continued as you watched the eyes of the child trembling. "I'm afraid that I can't...move any longer."

"Mama, don't give up! We can wait for Mr. Dazai. He will help you!" Aya shouted in hopes of bringing light to you again.

"D-Dazai..? Dazai! Where could he be?!" you then began to panic as you remembered your partner and his unknown whereabouts.

You then worked your legs up as you tried to go further but Aya was stopping you, screaming, "No, mama! You should hide and rest while we wait for him!"

You were at the brink of desperation to put the child into safety. Which is bringing her to the agency office as soon as possible but you know inside your head that it's impossible to do so with your current state.

As you reached the outside of the dim end corner of a road you're not too familiar with, your eyes brightened as you saw a man standing in front of a car. "Kunikida..!" you said with such a happy smile.

He immediately went to your side and supported your walk. "Dazai sent me here knowing that you will appear through this path. Let's go back to the office, ok? Good work, Y/n."

You could see Kunikida's proud gentle smile as he spoke to you with a caring tone. With your relaxing heart, you couldn't help but to fall unconscious in the whole duration of the car ride. Of course, you didn't let go of Aya's hand all throughout.

Aya stayed awake for a while as she observed the moving buildings and nature from the car window. "Where's Mr. Dazai?" she asked the detective.

"He said he'll go back on his own. Dazai probably has some stuff to handle with first. Anyways, you should rest now, kiddo. I'll wake you two up once we're at the agency." Kunikida replied, glancing at the rear-view mirror as he flashed a smile at the child.

"Thank you, mister." Aya then yawned before going into a deep sleep, her head leaning on your shoulder.

The day ended with a long roadtrip ahead. Everyone survived but will this end up in a great calamity in the future? Only you can gain knowledge of that with the help of your ability.

The car arrived and greeted Dazai who was just leaning by the entrance door of the building that leads to the office upstairs.

Kunikida left the car with you and the child still sleeping to have a conversation with his colleague. "I'm surprised you came here before us. Why didn't you just tag along?"

"Oh, Kunikida. Why are you so worried every now and then? You'll go bald if you continue to do that." Dazai exhaled a breath as his arms crossed.

"Ugh... So? What made you stay there for a while?"

"Hmm? It's nothing. I just spoke to an old friend. You missed a lot while we were gone, you know!" Dazai answered as he opened the door and let himself enter.

"Hey. Don't keep this to yourself, Dazai! You've got a lot of explaining to do together with Y/n about that child!" Kunikida scolded while the bandaged man just walked away with relaxed shoulders.

"Alright, alright. Geez, give us a break for now, will you? Can't you see how exhausted we are? Don't worry, I won't make you feel left out." he replied, putting his hand up, waving softly, as he reached the elevator.
