Your blank mind would always succumb to the silence of isolation from the world. You allowed the water to pour down on your face while sitting on the polished floor.

It was just about time to reconnect your body to the circling motion of the globe, soon realizing that someone has already been banging on your door, almost sounding desperate for your appearance.

"Hey, Y/n! What's taking you so long? Don't make me bust that door open! 'Cause I don't care seeing-" Chuuya stopped halfway through his sentence as he saw you step out of the sliding door connecting to the bathroom.

"Did you need anything? I was just washing my face." you replied, tilting your head a bit to show your questioning look.

"Huh? Oh...is that it? Aya here was just worried about you. Washing your face doesn't take 40 minutes. I thought you drowned and died for a second..." he dramatically exhaled a breath while placing his palm on his head.

Your eyes shifted to the child standing behind Chuuya's leg. She was indeed anxious about your state without her knowing what's going on with you.

You started to head by the main door of your room, opening it as you said, "Well, are you disappointed that I didn't die? Sorry about that."

"Uh...no? It's not like I want you to live nor do I want to see you dead on the floor. I was just saying." Chuuya replied with a pressing attitude as he followed you from behind.

"Uh-huh. I get it, I get it. Now could you please leave my room? I have to get changed." you politely asked with a bothered expression on your face.

"Oh, sure. But again I'm just clarifying-!" he was cut off by you slamming the door right in front of his face as soon as he exited with Aya.

"Damn, that detective." he muttered with rage boiling up to his head.

"I think I made her angry but I don't know what I did wrong." Aya frowned.

Chuuya kneeled down to look at the child's poor face and responded to her, "Y/n just has some issues she needs to fix. It's not your fault, ok?"

"Mr. Chuuya, I don't get why you are so nice to me but...t-thank you..!" Aya soon bursted into tears and tightly hugged the mafioso, wrapping her arms around his neck.

He gently placed his right hand at the back of the quivering child while gazing at her with such pity.

You, who's on the other side of the door, heard their conversation and of course the whimpers of the kid, feeling guilty once again because of your uncontrollable actions.

Clenching a fist, you held it to your chest as you gritted your teeth. "I'm so sorry, Aya." you spoke under your breath.

There stood Kouyou at the balcony, enjoying the smooth breeze of the cold soothing air. Then, comes a child who's exploring around the inn.

"Is there anything I could help you with, child?" Kouyou asked with a casual smile as her expression, turning her stance to the small kid.

"I just wanted to look around hehe! Woah, the view is very pretty up here!" the child exclaimed, mindlessly running towards the railing to which Kouyou stopped her by the shoulder just in time before she could trip and fall off.

"Child, are you ever this careless that you can never sense when could death come knocking at your door?" Kouyou asked, the child didn't have a clue on what she's talking about.
