Dazai was surprisingly ready to go to work, he just had another idea to annoy Kunikida.
When he arrived to the agency, everyone was there exept Kunikida.
Something was off.
When he had eye contact with the other members, they avoided his gaze.
Something was definitly off.
-Atsushi-kun, what is going on?
Atsushi turned his head around and left the room in a hurry.
Dazai tried to go to Yosano's office but Ranpo stopped him.
-D-Don't... She doesn't want to talk with anyone right now... She's in the middle of an operation..
Ranpo's voice was muffeled, he was clearly hiding his voice crack, it almost felt like, he kept his emotions for himself.
-Ranpo-kun, what's going on?
-U-Uhm.... Nothing.. It's really nothing.
-Are you sure?
-Yup.
-Are you okay?
Ranpo's voice was trembling and he averted Dazai's stare.
-Never been better......
-That's clearly a lie, where is Kunikida-kun?
That was it, Ranpo left the room without a word.
The rest of the people were just head down.
-Where's Kenji?
-He didn't come when he heard the news- Uh- I mean- stutterd Tanizaki.
-What... News?
-NOTHING!
Kyouka didn't talk either, she was the only one that seemed focused on her work.
-Kyouka-chan, do you know where Kunikida-kun is?
Dazai knew that Kyouka only told the truth, Tanizaki tried to stop her but she told everything.
-Kunikida was shot on a mission, almost died, probably died, but Yosano is in denial and is trying to make him re-live apparently.
Dazai tilted his head to the left.
-Excuse me?
-He's in Yosano's office right now.
-Surely you're kidding... Right? Theres no way Kunikida got shot.
It was those moment where Dazai lost his cool and started calling his "Kunikida-kun" just "Kunikida".
-You want to check?
-Yeah, I'll gladly prove you wrong.
-I'm sorry Dazai-san.
-Don't.
Dazai knocked on Yosano's office, after some times Yosano openend the door.
Her eyes were all puffy and red, some of her make up was whipped on her face, and her nose was also red.
