⚠️ MAJOR ANGST WARNING ⚠️
⚠️ TW: MENTION OF SUICIDE ⚠️

It's been two weeks.
Two weeks that Dazai disappeared.

Two weeks that Kunikida didn't show up at work.

To tell the truth, at some point Dazai had this urge to leave and erase all his memory of the agency.

And of Kunikida.

Unfortunately, it wasn't as easy as when left the mafia.

When Dazai left the mafia he had nothing to lose.

Now that Dazai left the ADA, he had everything to lose.

It was frustrating.

Dazai didn't want to feel those emotions.

Unfortunately the past few years had been a torture for Dazai.

Watching his colleague just be himself.
Watching Kunikida caring about him.
Watching Kunikida trying to have a stable relationship with him.
Watching Dazai fall in love with him.

Now he's just wandering in the streets, going on hotels for baths and food.
No.
No there is  no possible way that Dazai could ever live without Kunikida.
It was physically impossible for Dazai to do that.
Dazai had no problems whatsoever when it came of disappearing for two whole year when it came to running away from the mafia.
And now it's been only two weeks and Dazai felt like a part of him had been ripped off.

Why?

Oh well it's simple.

The agency treated Dazai like a regular human being.

Not like a "Demon Prodigy".

Nor like a murderer.

Nor like a terrorist.

Nor like a monster.

Just a regular human being.

How Ironic.

Meanwhile Kunikida felt like he was loosing his mind.

For him Dazai was gone for good.

For Kunikida Dazai succeeded on his multiples attempts of killing himself.

For Kunikida, Dazai was no more.

And Kunikida felt guilty when he thought of their last discussion through texts:
Kunikida: Goodnight, Dazai.
Dazai: Goodbye, Kunikida.
-I should've known... I should've known... It's all my fault.. he thought.

And yet the idealist still couldn't believe it, he kept sending Dazai messages, he called him, but Dazai never answered, until that fateful day.

Dazai couldn't do it anymore, he needed to see him, it was a genuine need.
His hand reached his phone and dialed Kunikida's number.

-.......

-Hello?

-Good afternoon Kunikida-kun.

Dazai heard Kunikida's phone falling and almost breaking, the blond man's phone slipped out of his hands because of the shock Kunikida was going through at the moment.
He of course grabbed it back and got back to the call.

-Where are you? Can I pick you up...?

-Yes you can, I'll send you the address.

-I'll be there.

Kunikida jumped in his car and tapped the address on his phone.

Dazai was sitting on a little bridge to wait for Kunikida.
