New State New Life **Editing In Process**

Rainy Day

Well it's been a couple days. We have gone on a few more rides and Blackjack knows I don't play. He's a pretty decent horse. I've gone out with Connor most mornings to help feed since i'm up that early and have nothing better to do. Except this morning, I slept in. Marie actually got up before me, which is impressive.

"Well good morning sunshine. What had you sleeping in late" Marie laughed

"That's a comfy bed and I didn't want to get up" I laughed back

"Would you like breakfast hun?" Their mom asked

"Yes please" I smiled

She handed me a plate of food and I sat next to my friend. The two of us ate our food and I helped her do up the dishes. Then, as most mornings, we went to the living room and sat on the couch to watch tv.

"So what time are you leaving today?" I asked

"Probably 11:30 or 12. Depends on when she wakes up" Marie laughed

"Nice" I smiled

"You sure you don't want to come?" She asked

"I'm sure. I'll hang with the pups" I said

"I don't even know if anyone is going to be home, so just don't lock yourself out" My friend laughed

"I make no promises. You'll come back and i'll just be on the porch all helpless" I chuckled

"Good thing we have a covered porch, because of course we picked the day it's going to rain to go out for lunch" Marie said shaking her head

"Hun, what time are you leaving again?" Their mom asked walking in

"Around noon why" She replied

"Are you okay staying here by yourself Becca? I have a few errands to run today then I have to go to the office" She said

"Yeah, i'll find something to keep myself busy. Been living in a dorm for 2 years it's not too hard" I shrugged "Or I could nap"

"You don't nap" Marie said

"I know. But that's always an option" I smiled

"Okay. You two have a good day love you" Their mom said

"Love you mom" Marie said

She walked out of the room and I laid on my friend. Then a dog came out of no where and licked my face.

"I did not appreciate that" I laughed

Marie laughed at me and we decided to watch Chicago PD. It's been a cop show week. We've watched a few different shows as well but mostly cop ones. Glancing out the window, we watched the rain slowly start coming and it just seems like a misty rain right now.

"Well. I hope it stays like this. I will be back a few. Call me if you need anything. I think Connor is here somewhere his trucks outside. Or he's out with his buddies I don't know" Marie said

"Have fun. I'm gonna raid your kitchen for lunch." I laughed

She just shook her and and got off the couch. My friend left the room and came back a few minutes later in a nice-ish outfit and her bag. She waved and walked out the door. Hmm. What do I want for lunch. After laying on the couch for 10 minutes I could hear the rain pick up and I glanced out the window.

"Sheesh" I said

It's very windy out there too. Kinda like the storm when we got here. Okay food. I don't know, I don't really want to raid their kitchen. Eh i'll just wait till Marie gets back and make her find me food. A couple minutes later my phone started ringing and- is that a Montana number?
