Well, we are almost to my house. Evan texted me at 6am and said my parents were gone. I looked at Facebook and they had made their vacation driving posts. This morning we went to breakfast at a really good little cafe near the hotel that I normally go to when I come to the city. They liked it. I almost died this morning when I got up because I tripped over Connor's foot and thought I had broken my pinkie. I caught myself on the tv stand and my pinkie made a cracking noise and is currently swollen and a little purple. So I grabbed tape out of Marie's truck, I may of put it there, and taped my pinkie to my ring finger. It's my right pinkie, which is fine. I'm left-handed for 90% of things. Connor slept through that whole escapade. Actually, everyone was asleep during that whole thing so they all looked at me when I taped my fingers together. And were shocked when they saw what it looked like.

"So, we're in a neighborhood. Is one of these yours?" Marie asked

"Yeah I just drove past it" I said looking at her

"Hey, I don't need the sarcasm" She laughed

"I smiled at her and put the blinker on. I turned towards the house across the street and backed into my driveway.

It's a four car driveway so their dad did the same thing parked right next to me. Hoping out, I pulled my house key from the glove box and walked up to the door.

"Such a cute house" Marie said

"Yeah, this is where I grew up, well mostly. We moved here when I was..five. I lived in a different house like 3 hours away before that. But they wanted to be closer to family so, this is where they moved." I said

They all nodded and we walked in the house. Showing them the main rooms and the bathroom, I walked to my room and opened the door. Ah, just how I left it. Good.

"Aw this is your room" Connor said

"Yeah" I laughed

"Should we do big things first?" Their dad asked

"Probably, uhm. I think that ottoman is the biggest cause it's long and holds my collection of Mexican blankets" I laughed

"Mexican blankets?" Their mom asked

"Isn't that what we got in New Mexico" Marie said

"Yes. I have like five more here" I smiled

Opening the ottoman, I showed them the blankets. It also has regular blankets.

"These are cool. Wait isn't there one in your truck?" Connor said

"Yeah. That ones my favorite. My grandparents on my dad's side. They bought me one every time they drove to Vegas because they drove through New Mexico. My parents always asked them why and they said they wanted to. So I now hoard these" I laughed

"I think this will just fit in the bed of the truck" Their dad laughed

"I hope so" I laughed

"Anything else you want to put in here?" Their mom asked

"Hmm. Oh" I said and walked over to my dresser "This was my dog growing up. Honestly the only pet I ever had. I think the safest place will be in here cause it's soft"

"Aw" They all said

I put the wooden box of ashes on the blankets along with the collar. Then I shut the ottoman and Connor and his dad took it outside. It's a long rectangular ottoman. I've had that thing forever.

"Should we bring in the suitcases. or do you not have a lot of clothes?" Marie asked

"My dresser had some and there some in my closet. The two should be enough. If not we can just throw whatever is left in random containers and i'll find it when I unpack it all" I said
