"So how did you enjoy our make up Chrismas?" Marie said

"It was fun" I smiled

"Seems like Connor had a good time in New York" She replied

"Yeah, he was impressed with how close everything was. I showed him the beach. We went on a trail ride at the barn I used to go to and work at. He got to meet the grumpy horse I rode. That was fun" I smiled

"Sounds like you guys had a good time" She smiled

"Yeah, despite dealing with my family it was pretty good" I said back

Marie smiled and we sat there for a few before I looked over at her.

"Yeah?" She said

"I gotta tell you something though" I said

"What's up" She repliked

"Uh, when we were on the beach.. Your brother kissed me" I slowly said

"Well he picked a good place" She said

"What?" I replied

"I've known he's liked you. My threat didn't work, but once you moved in you two were close and I mean. I was just waiting at this point" She laughed

"Waiting?! Ma'am how long have you known this" I said

"When he wasn't talking to you. After you guys talked it out.. well yeah I guess you could call it that" She laughed "I talked to him and while he didn't admit anything i'm his older sister and I will get any information I want even if he is my younger brother. You're my best friend and you were going through it. So he admitted that he liked you and he thought you were dating that kid. Even though i'm the one that invited him. And yeah" Marie said smiling at me

"But.. If he told you he liked me.. why did he not know what your reaction to us kissing would be." I said

"Whelp I never told him if I condoned of it or not. I just looked at him and then had to go to work" She shrugged

"Oh.. huh. So your not mad" I said

"No. Honestly, you two would be good for each other. I know you wouldn't put up with any bullshit or pull any bullshit either. Plus if you two date seeing you fight off the buckle bunnies will be fun" Marie laughed

"I'd have a valid reason too" I smirked

She laughed and we spent the rest of the night on the couch.

"Hey" I said picking up the phone

"Hey, you up for lunch?" Connor said

"I mean i'm hungry. Aren't you at work?" I asked

"Nope. Got my set schdule I have off Wednesdays too" He laughed

"Hmm, I mean I did miss our lunch dates" I chuckled

"I'll be there in five" Connor replied before hanging up

Shaking my head, I looked at my self and decided to put on another layer.

"Ah, presentable ish and warm" I smiled

Grabbing my phone, wallet and keys, I saw Connor pull up outside and headed out. Getting in his truck, he started driving and I looked at him.

"Hey" I said

"Hey" He smiled

"So, I told your sister" I said

"Yeah.. I told Braxton. He said atta boy" Connor laughed
