Take Off

"Hey, Bec wake up" I heard

"I don't wanna" I mumbled

Opening my eye's I was on the couch...with Connor. Oh.

"Good morning" He laughed

"Morning" I said

I sat up and he did the same. Connor got off the couch and went to the spare bathroom as I went to my room. Using the bathroom, I washed my hands then put more burn cream on. And now that little packet is done. Checking my wrap, it hasn't bled through so we're good. Grabbing a pair of pants, I pulled those on and went back into the living room. Where Marie was.

"Morning" I said

"Morning" She laughed "You two are talking again?"

"Yeah" We both said

She nodded then looked at my arm

"And what did you do?" She asked

"Cut my arm and burned my hand cause my truck broke down yesterday.. It's fine" I said

She glared but shook her head. The air fryer beeped and she pulled her food out. It was a bagel, Marie put butter on it and disappeared to her room.

"Today's Sunday right?" I asked

"Yeah" Connor laughed

"Any plans for the day?" I asked

"Not really. Would you like to come for breakfast?" He asked

"I guess so. I'm going to actually put on clothes though" I said

"Why that's fine" Connor said

"I need to put a bra and socks on" I laughed

He nodded and I walked back to my room. Doing what I needed to, I walked back to the living room and pulled on my boots. Grabbing my jacket, Connor and I headed out the door and got in his truck.

"You know. You passed out immedietly last night" Connor laughed

"I've seen that movie before" I replied

"It was only 8" He said

"You could of left" I said

"No, i've never seen that movie so I watched it then fell asleep" He replied

"Ah, so you can watch horrors" I laughed

"Yes, i'm not a wuss" He replied looking at me

Hopping out of the truck we walked in the house and I said hi to his parents.

"Good morning hun" Their mom said

"Good morning" I replied

"Are you going to tell them?" Connor said

"Tell us what?" Their dad asked

"Uhm. I got invited to join the rodeo.." I said

"That's great" Their mom said

"You don't look excited?" Their dad said

"Well, he's your horse...I didn't know that Tuesday thing was to actually join the Rodeo.. Connor" I said

"Hey, you're good with him" Connor said

"Becca. We knew it was practice to join the rodeo. And I even took you every week for the last few months. If we didn't want you to join we would of said something" Their dad said

"I don't have a trailer though. What about weeks he doesn't go" I said

"You use ours. We don't use it any other time. Except to pick up horses which probably isn't going to happen any time soon. Or if he goes to the rodeo" Their dad laughed "And it's Saturday's Marie already said she'd drive or let you drive her truck"
