They Can't Cook

"So, what are your plans for thanksgiving?" Tyler asked

"I don't know" I said looking up from the computer I was on

"How do you not know" He laughed

"Cause.. This is my first year living in Montana. When I was in school I went home for the holidays. Mostly because I had no one to stay with at school.. I could of gone to my cousins house" I said looking at the screen

"Are you going to join Marie and her family" Tyler asked pulling up a chair next to me

"We haven't talked about it. Mostly because I forgot Thanksgiving is litarally next week" I said rolling my eyes at the boy

"How. We have a three day work week. Unless you're on call" He said

"You know. Maybe i'll switch with whoever is on call so I don't like.. intrude on their dinner" I said

"You've lived there for how long? How are you intruding" Tyler asked

"I've only lived here for.. four months" I said

"Really? Feels like longer" He said nodding

"It does. But still, maybe i'll fly down to Colorado and see my cousin. Make our family mad again" I laughed

He just shook his head and patted my papers.

"I know you're almost done for the day so i'll let you finish up" Tyler said

"See ya bud" I said

He nodded and walked towards the back offices. I wish I had one of those to do these, but no i'm on an uncomfortable stool.

"Hey babes" I heard a little while later

"Hey" I smiled

"They got you doing paperwork?" Marie laughed

"Yup. I do have a big gash on my arm so restraining this week was a bitch. So i've been helping with surgery and doing paper work" I sighed

"Well maybe you should not try and dive into the engine bay" Marie said

"I didn't dive, it was raining there was thunder and I slipped" I said

"And took a dive. In to the engine, like I said" Marie smiled

I rolled my eyes and got on with my paperwork. I'm entering todays regualar surgeries from this morning. We've had a few emergencies but someone else is doing those. I can't wait to go home and lay on the couch then not have to wake up early tomorrow. Since today's Friday, it's been such a long week, and just dragged.

"Whelp, time to clock out for the day" I said logging out

Grabbing my bag, I made sure I had my water bottle and clocked out. Heading out it's already snowing and my truck needs a better alternator. I was going to do that before winter came since Colorado it snowed and my truck no likey. I mean yeah it snowed in New York but it didn't get as cold as it does here. It's currently 10 degrees. Heading home I parked in my spot and ran inside. Taking my boots off, I put those out on the porch then went to the kitchen and put a hot chocolate K-Cup in the Keurig thing. Marie uses it for coffee I use it for hot chocolate.

"Okay, lets get changed while that does it's thing. Oh mug" I said

Putting a mug underneath, I hit go and jogged to my room. Stripping out of my layers, I grabbed sweat pants and a tee shirt and went back out to the kitchen. Grabbing my full mug of hot chocolate I sat on the couch and found something to watch before taking a picture of my mug with the tv and saying, ready for snow. Then I sent it to Marie, Connor, Braxton and my cousin in Kansas. Oh and Melissa too, you know I don't know where I put the paperwork for the rodeo stuff. Whoops. Putting the blanket over my legs I pulled the coffee table up to the couch and sipped my hot chocolate. Glacing back, I looked out the sliding glass door and it was snowing pretty good out there. Then my phone buzzed.
