New State New Life **Editing In Process**

Long ride

It is three in the mother fucking morning. We are starting this off with violence. Today is the day we are going to go on that all day ride. Thankfully when we stop to go to sleep, it'll be on our way back from where ever we end up going. The only thing I know about where we are headed, is that it is further then when they have to go bring the cattle back to the ranch. And that's pretty damn far.

"Are you up!" Marie yelled walking into my room

"Sadly" I sighed pulling on my boots

"Well, at least I didn't have to drag you out of bed. We are taking the gator over to the house" Mari replied

Nodding, I yawned and grabbed my phone off the charger. We aren't suppose to go on them, but if there's an emergency we should have them. Also they said the views out there are really nice so I'll probably wanna take some pictures. Next year, it's just for emergencies. Going into the main part of the house, Emily was packing the backpacks with our snacks, food and water. The blankets and sleeping gear is in the barn already packed into the saddles.

"I'm so not excited" I yawned

"You'll be excited once we get going" She laughed

Rolling my eyes, I grabbed an apple and tossed her one as well. Grabbing our back packs, we made sure the house was locked up before making our way out to the shed. Marie pulled out the Gator, while I locked up the shed. Jumping in, and almost eating shit, Marie laughed and we drove over to the house. Marie parked in the barn and I walked over to Connor.

"Morning" I said and wrapped my arms around his waist

"Morning babe" He replied and hugged me back

"You look so excited" Braxton laughed

"It's almost 4 in the morning" I mumbled

"C'mon, let's get your hot head saddled up. Do you still have to run him around?" Connor asked

"Nah, it's too early" I yawned

Everyone grabbed their horses from their stalls and Black Jack looked calm. Hmm, maybe I should get him up at 3am more often. Cleaning out his feet, I got him saddled up and Connor helped me with the saddle bag. Hopping up, we all made our way out of the barn and Marie lead the way. Then it was me, Connor, and Braxton brought up the rear.

"So, you awake enough to be on your horse?" Connor asked coming up next to me

"Hopefully, we already left" I chuckled

"Well he looks tired so you should be good. Let's pick up the pace a little bit" He replied

Nodding we all started trotting and headed across one of the many fields. After an hour and a half, we stopped to eat some breakfast and let the horses graze. We also gave them a small amount of food. There's a  stream that runs through the property that they got a drink from, as we watched the sunrise. This little stream runs into a lake further away that i've been to once. After that it's a small stream, to a bigger creek, that leads to a whole ass river.

"So, how are you enjoying the ride so far?" Marie asked

"Well, we've ridden this far before, just not this early in the morning" I laughed

"Hey are you racing tomorrow!" Braxton yelled

"Fuck that. Once we get back i'm going to sleep" I replied

"Our parents are going to cook like we did for them" Marie said

"You mean, how I did for them. Y'all didn't do shit. Except Braxton, he actually has a brain cell that knows the kitchen" I replied
