Park Chaeyoung plays the last voice message that her best friend, Lalisa Manoban had sent her. She'd previously asked her to buy her some Japanese skincare, snacks and a hair straightener (don't ask) and in response, Park Chaeyoung told her that she'll only buy it if she has time since she has plans for tonight. Lalisa Manoban, knowing her friend well, thought it was odd since Park Chaeyoung usually loved to buy gifts on every trip.
Then she explained that she was going out for dinner and drinks with Jeon Jungkook.
She doesn't know whether the voice note was even intentional because all that's heard is screaming before it's likely that the voice note ended early.
A few seconds later, a new voice note is made, this time with a more coherent Lalisa Manoban.
"Tell me EVERYTHING when you get back! And I expect another jersey, I pretty much set you two up together, without knowing it! ARGHHH!"
Park Chaeyoung chuckles, before putting her phone away.
The pair decided to meet in the lobby of the hotel, because, by coincidence, they were both staying at the same one, just on different levels. She takes a final look in the mirror, a knitted black dress that fell down to her mid-thigh, covered with stockings and heeled black boots. She wore a black cap, and tucked her bright blonde hair into a low bun, figuring that it'll be safer to keep her identity as hidden as possible just in case.
When she gets down to the elevator, to her surprise, she sees him wearing all black too. Dark trousers and a knitted black long-sleeve that somewhat matched his. He smiles and waves as he quickly gets up and gives her a hug.
"Isn't the hat a little too much?" His voice is low, in the usual teasing manner that she'd somehow become acquainted with.
"Maybe this entire date is a little too much," she jokes, rolling her eyes before pointing back at the elevator, "... should I go back and cancel?"
"No, you look gorgeous," he doesn't hesitate to tell her, but his hand slowly picks up the cap from her head and lifts it off, revealing her bright blonde hair, "... I'd prefer to see your face, though."
"What if someone recognises you?" She questions, "... I don't want to cause misunderstanding."
"There's no need, our team isn't that popular in Japan," he informs her, "... but I've booked a private room just in case. It seems you're a low-key person."
She nods, "... are we walking? Or should we take a taxi?"
"I'll drive, don't worry— I'll keep you safe," he teases, "... it is one though, right?"
"What is?" She responds as she feels him reaching for her hand, fingers interlocking as he leads her to the lobby, heading for the valet.
"A date," he tells her, "... you said so earlier."
Feeling embarrassed, she keeps her head down, hoping that it'll hide the bright crimson against her cheeks. But soon, when he looks at him to get in the car after he opens the door, he notices that his face too, is bright red.

Jeon Jungkook feels as though she was a walking contradiction, and to be frank, he finds himself somewhat unsure about how to treat her.
On one hand, she was an angel personified on earth— bright blonde hair, milky white skin, and simply had an aura of innocence and class. Yet, on the other hand, he can't help but remember the deep concentration across her face as she was tattooing his friend and the deep passion she had in her expression. While waiting, he too saw the intricate designs on her social media page— some dark in imagery while others were soft and dainty looking. She was a true artist, he realises, and it's no wonder to him that her parlour had a 12-month minimum waitlist.
